Tax Day in Inwood: Can you host?

On Tax Day, April 17, we're organizing "Tax the 1%" protests nationwide to demand that millionaires and big business pay their fair share. Can you host a protest in Inwood on April 17?

Host a Tax the 1% Protest

Dear MoveOn member,

Do you know what's so outrageous about the many problems facing the 99%?

That there's a simple solution to most of them: Tax the 1%.

If millionaires and big business paid their fair share in taxes, our communities could invest in job creation, schools, health care, and clean energy. Instead, the opposite is happening: Vital programs and services are being slashed or de-funded.

That's why MoveOn members are working with progressive allies to organize hundreds of "Tax the 1%" protests nationwide on Tax Day, April 17. We'll deliver giant-sized "tax bills" to Big Banks, tax dodging corporations, and politicians and stand up to a tax code rigged for the 1%. Can you lead a Tax the 1% protest in Inwood on Tuesday, April 17?

Yes! I can host a event!

In Washington, D.C. and in our state capitols, politicians are responding to strained budgets with more cuts for the 99%. With the heightened media attention on Tax Day, we can make sure the politicians and CEOs hear our demand loud and clear: Tax the 1% to rebuild an economy that works for all of us.

With hundreds of big and small events, we can amplify our simple but important message. Can you host a Tax the 1% event in Inwood on Tuesday, April 17?

Yes, I can host a Tax the 1% event!

Thanks for all you do.
