Here's a glimpse of what the online watch party will be like:

Thousands of MoveOn members and progressive movement organizers will be joining the Big Ideas Forum online watch party on Saturday, June 1 at 3:45p.m. ET/2:45p.m. CT/1:45p.m. MT/12:45p.m. PT. to hear Senator Cory Booker, Secretary Julián Castro, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Congressman Beto O'Rourke, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Senator Elizabeth Warren share their big ideas to create an America where everyone can thrive, and answer questions submitted by MoveOn members around the country in a conversation with Karine Jean-Pierre and Stephanie Valencia.

The big ideas that movements and politicians champion have the ability to inspire the people power we need to fundamentally transform the political landscape, and inspire millions of people to take to the polls in 2020. These eight candidates have agreed to attend the MoveOn Big Ideas Forum—the first event of its kind in MoveOn's 20 year history—to pitch their big ideas to MoveOn members because they understand the power of the MoveOn community in the progressive movement, and the critical role MoveOn members will play in getting out the vote in 2020.

Can we count on you to join the online watch party? Click here to save your spot, and get the link to the event so you can also invite your family, friends, and activist communities!

There's a lot at stake, and we're looking to MoveOn members like you to join the watch party, share what you think of the candidates' big ideas, and help inform a progressive platform that can lead to victory in 2020. At the online watch party, you'll be able to share your thoughts and chat with MoveOn staff and MoveOn members from across the country.

MoveOn member-leader Joy D. from Houston, TX, says, "I am attending the MoveOn Big ideas forum because I want to hear each candidates visions and plans for moving our country forward before casting my vote. We need change! We need a progressive candidate that has a unifying message that is able to move this country forward while addressing the needs of the most marginalized of our society."

MoveOn member-leader Janet S. from Chicago, IL, says, "I want to observe every moment in time in history, and hold these politicians accountable to the things they are promising for the people of America, immigrants coming in, youth, and the elderly."

I hope you can join Joy, Janet, and me at the watch party. Tomorrow, we'll send you a reminder when the forum is starting. All you need to join the watch party is a device like a laptop, smart phone, or computer, and an internet connection.

Thanks for all you do.

This is terrifying

At midnight on Saturday, Missouri could become the first state without access to legal abortion since the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973.

Dear MoveOn member,

At midnight on Saturday, Missouri could become the first state without access to legal abortion since the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973.1

The right-wing crusade to end access to legal abortion in America is moving like wildfire, as red states take increasingly extreme actions. And this battle will likely end up in the Supreme Court, which for the first time in 45 years, now has a majority of justices opposed to safe, legal abortion.

Missouri is poised this week to revoke the license for the last remaining health clinic that provides abortions in the state.2 Last week, Missouri's governor signed into law a bill banning abortions at eight weeks of pregnancy—and without exceptions in cases of rape or incest.3 It's terrifying to think what pregnant people in Missouri are going to be put through as early as next week, and what the devastating consequences could be if they are forced into unsafe back alley procedures.

Eddie, if ever there was a time to come together to fight back, it's now. We have no time to lose because it's all happening so fast. And we simply cannot turn back the clock 45 years on reproductive liberty and equality.

That's why MoveOn is launching a big, new campaign to protect safe, legal abortion and save Roe.

Will you help out? Click here to chip in $3, or whatever you can afford.

Missouri is one of six states with only one abortion clinic remaining.4 For two decades, the right-wing strategy has been to chip away at access to abortion, putting in place onerous and medically unnecessary requirements—from waiting periods to down-to-the-inch dimensions for exam rooms, hallways, and janitor closets.5

But now, with Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, the right-wing strategy has changed to trying to end legal abortion entirely, and the speed at which red states have taken action is breathtaking—from Missouri about to revoke its last clinic's license to Alabama banning all abortion in the state and Ohio even criminalizing those who leave the state to access abortion where it is still legal.

No longer do conservatives want to chip away at abortion rights; now, they are threatening to end access to legal abortion everywhere they can.

This is not a drill. It's a fight for our lives and equality. And we all need to be a part of this fight. That's why MoveOn is launching a big, new campaign to bring our grassroots firepower, media bullhorn, and tech chops to the fight to preserve safe, legal abortion.

Here are just some of the ideas we are considering as next steps in this critical, life-or-death fight:

  • Putting pressure on John Roberts, the Supreme Court swing vote, to ensure he does not vote to uphold these bans. Research has shown that Roberts responds to public pressure and is concerned about the court's public image, which means that a pressure campaign could work to swing his vote when these bans eventually make their way to the Supreme Court.
  • Electoralizing the issue. Again, 79% of Americans believe that abortion should be safe and legal—a huge majority that will be galvanized to vote against the Republicans who have pushed these bans in states across the country and have opened the door for the end of Roe. And we must make sure that all Democratic candidates make choice and reproductive justice central to their campaigns.
  • Demanding accountability from corporations. Many massive, multinational corporations have given campaign contributions to the state legislators waging this war on abortion access. By raising public demand for the corporations to immediately cease their giving, we can land a major blow to these politicians.
  • Fighting in the states. Currently, only 10 states have laws on the books that will protect abortion access if Roe is overturned.6 We need to push more state legislatures to pass laws protecting abortion access now, and we must fight to stop any additional bans working their way through state governments. Additionally, we must push to elect pro-choice state legislators in this year's elections to add additional safeguards to abortion access at the state level.

Will you chip in $3 to help out?

With your help, we will continue working with partners to fight back in the states and in Washington, D.C., continue directing resources to groups on the ground that are providing abortions in impacted states, and use our reach to lift up the stories of those impacted by these draconian laws.

Thanks for all you do.

Important impeachment update (please read)

"If we had confidence that the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so.

"If we had confidence that the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so."

That's what Robert Mueller said today.

Eddie, Mueller's message today was clear: Department of Justice policy does not allow a sitting president to be indicted. Instead, it us up to Congress to hold Donald Trump accountable through impeachment. So let's get right to the point:

This is a pivotal moment in MoveOn's impeachment campaign, and we need your support. Will you make an emergency donation right now?

Click here to chip in $3, or whatever you can afford, to help MoveOn flood the airwaves, organize actions across the country, and pressure members of Congress to support impeachment.

The drumbeat for impeachment has been growing louder in recent days, with more members of Congress, presidential candidates, and even a REPUBLICAN going on the record calling for impeachment.

But still, Nancy Pelosi and other top House democrats have been dragging their heels, which is why it is on us to demand that impeachment proceedings begin NOW. With your help, we will take these steps:

  • Host a national day of action in June. This day of action will include events in cities and states across the country where we can show our grassroots people power to Congress, putting pressure on elected officials on the ground in their districts and showing just how many of their constituents are demanding action on impeachment—and where we can educate more folks about what impeachment inquiries are, why Congress must act, and what the process will look like.
  • Make impeachment a 2020 campaign issue. Only a handful of Democratic candidates have come out for impeachment, but it is critical that democratic candidates do not waiver on this issue. Trump has committed multiple impeachable offenses, and we will continue to build pressure on 2020 candidates to come out forcefully and clearly for impeachment.
  • Run ads, create videos, and flood Congress with phone calls. Just last month, MoveOn and its allies delivered 10 million signatures to Congress calling for impeachment, a rebuke to some congressional leaders who have claimed that there is not public momentum for holding Trump accountable. We will continue to run digital ads and billboards, create powerful videos, and drive thousands of calls to Congress to make sure they know how many Americans are demanding that Trump be held accountable for his abuse of communities and baldfaced corruption.

Will you chip in to help MoveOn's ongoing work for impeachment? Click here to chip in $3, or whatever you can afford.

Forty percent of Americans now support impeachment, a dramatic increase in the past few weeks.1

Of course, public opinion is not all that matters. And Congress can't just follow the polls with something as serious as impeachment.

Congress has a responsibility to lead, to uphold the rule of law, and to show voters that it is doing everything in its power to confront an out-of-control and abusive White House.

But increasing public support does give a window to Democrats, if they seize it. And, Eddie, it's our job to make sure they do.

Will you chip in to help MoveOn's ongoing work for impeachment? Click here to chip in $3, or whatever you can afford.

Opponents of impeachment will tell you that it's a distraction from the issues. But the truth is that if we allow our elected officials to be above the law, it strikes at the heart of our democracy and sets a horrible precedent for future lawbreakers at all levels of government. And if we don't use every constitutional tool at our disposal to rein in and confront an abusive, out-of-control administration, we are failing in our duty.

Opponents of impeachment will tell you that it makes Trump more likely to win the 2020 election. We believe, on the other hand, that an energized electorate that has seen leadership from Democrats—and knows about to the crimes and corruption and abuses of the Trump administration—will turn out in droves.

Opponents of impeachment will tell you that voters who learn the truth about Trump's corruption will turn off and tune out. We believe, on the other hand, that first-time voters who see progressive candidates stand for something and fight will vote in 2020 for something better.

Opponents of impeachment will tell you that impeachment could pass the House but will fail in the Senate. That's might be true, but it misses the point: Impeachment forces Republicans to be confronted with actual crimes that Donald Trump committed (and he did commit crimes)—and then vote to let him go free. And, as we saw with Richard Nixon, we don't know what will happen until the evidence is out.

And, no matter what, we cannot let political expediency be the driving force.

Win or lose, we must impeach Donald Trump because it's the moral thing to do—and because our democracy depends on it.

Chip in $3 and help MoveOn keep up our unstoppable drumbeat for impeachment.

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Impeachment is essential. It's constitutional. It's possible. And ultimately, it will draw lines that will fuel a fight through 2020 if need be.

Thanks for all you do.

One of our most powerful symbols

Check out photos of the statue and get a free America Welcomes sticker to proudly display your commitment to making an America where everyone is welcomed with dignity and respect.

Dear MoveOn member,

The Statue of Liberty is one of our most salient symbols of the timeless promise our country has made to welcome those seeking refugee and a life in America. That's why we built one in the nation's capital last week:

Images from the America Welcomes event on May 16, 2019

Click here to see more photos of the Statue of Liberty in Washington, D.C., and get a free America Welcomes sticker to proudly display your commitment to making an America where everyone is welcomed with dignity and respect.

Despite the famous words of welcome written on the Statue of Liberty, the Trump administration has dramatically escalated attacks on immigrants, asylum-seekers, and refugees—attacks that are both illegal and immoral: putting children in cages, forcibly separating families, illegally preventing people seeking asylum from applying, banning Muslims from entering the country. And news of these attacks keep coming: Reports of 1,700 more children separated than previously disclosed, attempts to get billions more for the deportation machinery of ICE and CBP, and more—including the news this week that a sixth child, previously unreported, had died in U.S. custody last September.

But we believe that America can be better than this and that we must lift up a vision of a welcoming and inclusive America. That's why we worked with United We Dream, Families Belong Together, the Center for Popular Democracy, Sanctuary DMV, and Casa de Maryland to build an interactive art project in Washington, D.C., this weekend to bring the Statue of Liberty to the Capitol and renew our promise.

For three days, our statue, built and designed by renowned local artist Cesar Maxit, stood in front of Union Station, in view of the Capitol, where people could show the world that America Welcomes immigrants and refugees. The statue was visited by people from all walks of life, including members of the House and Senate such as Representatives Pramila Jayapal and Ilhan Omar and Senator Jeff Merkley, along with thousands of other visitors, families, activists, and more.

Click here to see more photos of the Statue of Liberty in Washington, D.C., and see how you can take action to say #AmericaWelcomes and get your free sticker.

MoveOn members have been at the forefront of some of the largest fights to stop the Trump administration's vile policies—taking to the streets, demanding change from Congress, and doing important work locally to stand with the immigrant rights movement and leaders who are working tirelessly.

But our work is far from over. Trump built his campaign on racist, xenophobic scare tactics, and his administration has turned his words of hate into policies that hurt and terrorize entire communities. He will continue to implement cruel policies and extort money for his deportation force—and we need to be ready, as a united movement, to build the country we want to see.

This replica Statue of Liberty was one way to show the world—and decision-makers in Congress—that we demand welcoming immigration policies rooted in dignity and morality. In the coming months, we'll need more forward-looking, bold actions that lead with our values.

Get your free sticker, check out more photos of the Statue of Liberty in Washington, D.C., and see more ways that you can take action to say #AmericaWelcomes.

Thanks for all you do.

I nearly spit out my coffee when I saw this

I spend much of my time worrying about our nation's big problems and thinking about solutions. Things like what the implementation of a wealth tax would do to solve income inequality. What we can do to address the climate crisis today. And how legalizing marijuana can help curtail mass incarceration.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

I spend much of my time worrying about our nation's big problems and thinking about solutions. Things like what the implementation of a wealth tax would do to solve income inequality. What we can do to address the climate crisis today. And how legalizing marijuana can help curtail mass incarceration.

But here's the truth: We need our elected officials to push for big ideas too in order for them to become reality.

Luckily, we have an opportunity right now to help shape the 2020 election and ensure that big ideas to help push our country forward and make life better for millions of Americans take center stage—to show voters what they can vote for, instead of just against.

Next Saturday, June 1, MoveOn is hosting their first-ever in-person forum with presidential candidates in San Francisco, CA, where each candidate will present "one big idea" that they'll push forward if elected. Cory Booker, Julián Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O'Rourke, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren will ALL be there.

This is a unique and critical opportunity to get candidates on the record about bold progressive ideas, which can help to shape the campaign going forward—and to jump-start an idea-centered and robust debate in the weeks leading up to the first Democratic debate at the end of June.

Here's the catch: MoveOn has given me a peek at the budget for this event, and it nearly made me spit out my coffee. Pulling off an event of this size requires buckets of money—to secure a venue, coordinate security and logistics, promote it, and more. It is a huge lift and has to be done right. Which is why I'm asking:

Eddie, can you chip in $3 right now to help make sure that MoveOn's "Big Ideas Forum" goes off without a hitch? You'll also be entered to win two all-expenses-paid tickets to attend the event on June 1 in San Francisco!

MoveOn will host this event, stream it live, have large sections of it covered by cable news, and then create videos capturing each of the big ideas (which will then get seen millions of times). I know MoveOn's power to push a video. (After all, I make 10 or so videos with them every year!) And MoveOn's social media and earned media reach will elevate these particular big ideas and the notion that we need big, bold visions in the weeks to come, to set the stage for the first Democratic debate.

In 2016, rather than focusing on big ideas, media and the public debate focused more on squabbles between candidates and insults thrown back and forth between their supporters—and that gave an opening for Donald Trump to drive a wedge between voters and win.

We cannot let the 2020 campaign become a media circus defined by the biggest personalities or infighting between candidates.

We cannot let consultants and pundits convince candidates that fighting for bold, progressive ideas is dangerous, pushing them to stick to the middle of the road.

We must make our voices heard and ensure that candidates know that the majority of Americans support progressive policies like Medicare for All, higher taxes for the wealthy, controls on out-of-control corporate greed, ambitious initiatives to tackle the climate crisis, and more.

This is our opportunity not just to define what the 2020 election will look like but also what real progressive governance can be. It's time to get candidates on the record, and it is on us to hold them accountable to those priorities.

I am so happy to see MoveOn taking the lead on this work, and I can't wait to watch the Big Ideas Forum next week. I also can't wait to see the media coverage, MoveOn's videos grabbing tens of millions of eyeballs, and the robust debate of big ideas that will follow—setting a tone in the critical weeks leading up to the first Democratic debate.

I hope that you'll join me and chip in $3 to help make sure the event is a success.

Click here now to chip in and be entered to win a chance to fly to San Francisco next week to attend MoveOn's Big Ideas Forum in person!

Thanks for all you do.

SIGN: Stop this Big Pharma merger

Add your name to tell the FTC you oppose Bristol-Myers Squibb's attempt to create a veritable monopoly over oncology and cardiovascular medications.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Bristol-Myers Squibb wants to buy out rival Celgene for $74 billion, the largest pharmaceutical merger ever.1 The consolidated company would have a veritable monopoly over oncology and cardiovascular medications.2

As patients, we bear the ever-increasing costs, and we can't afford to keep paying and paying. Many people depend on medicine to stay alive, and nobody should have to choose between a roof over their head and the drugs they need to thrive.

The Federal Trade Commission must block the attempt by Bristol-Myers Squibb to buy out Celgene. We urge you to stop this mega-merger.

The Federal Trade Commission must listen to comments from the public before approving the merger. Here is our chance to speak up. This mega-merger will block the development and sale of affordable drugs and reduce competition just when we need more of it.

We've seen what happens when big pharmaceutical companies merge: medication prices soar. It happened to the Epi-Pen. It happened with arthritis drugs. It even happened with insulin.3

Click here to add your name to tell the FTC you oppose this mega-merger, and then pass the petition along to your friends.

Thank you.

—Laura Packard

Fwd: [petition] Our son faces 20 years in prison for his humanitarian aid work

Drop all charges against Dr. Scott Warren that stem from his humanitarian aid work in the US-Mexico border region of Arizona. The U.S. attorney's office must cease prosecution of all humanitarian aid workers and allow them to provide life-saving aid without fear of government harassment and prosecution.

Hi, Eddie! Scott Warren's trial is about to begin. He's facing an unimaginable 20 years in prison for offering humanitarian aid.

Our son, Scott, should not be criminalized for providing humanitarian aid to those in need. We're delivering this petition in person on Friday to show the massive support across the country for Scott and others facing similar charges for helping people. Right now, the petition has just over 96,000 signatures. Will you take a second and add your name to get this petition up to 100,000 signatures before Friday?

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Our son, Scott, is facing three federal felony charges for offering humanitarian aid to two migrants in the southwest borderlands of the United States. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison—for trying to avert more preventable deaths in the Sonoran Desert.

All charges against our son should be dropped. In addition, all charges should be dropped against anyone who is providing kindness and humanitarian aid to those who are traversing the harsh and remote terrain of the Sonoran Desert.

Drop all charges against Dr. Scott Warren that stem from his humanitarian aid work in the U.S.-Mexico border region of Arizona. The U.S. attorney's office must cease prosecution of all humanitarian aid workers and allow them to provide lifesaving aid without fear of government harassment and prosecution.

Persons fleeing poverty, oppression, and violence in their home countries make the desperate decision to confront Arizona's western desert, one of the harshest landscapes on Earth, in search of a better life. For many, the decision ends in a painful and lonely death in the remote reaches of the Sonoran Desert.

Click here to sign this petition demanding that the U.S. attorney's office drop all charges against Dr. Scott Warren.

No one deserves to die in the desert. And no one deserves to go to prison for trying to prevent those deaths. The work of Scott and other humanitarian aid volunteers to alleviate suffering should be upheld as a standard of virtue for all of us, rather than be punished by threat of prison. Help us show the U.S. attorney's office that there is widespread support for humanitarian aid work and that prosecuting our son is both morally wrong and politically unpopular.

Scott's devotion to his humanitarian work consistently inspires us. We first realized the extent of his commitment when we saw—and as his parents, felt—the pain he suffered upon encountering the bodies of migrants in the desert, and the deep sense of responsibility he feels to commemorate their journeys both as migrants and as human beings. That the U.S. attorney's office would seek to criminalize compassion and respect for human dignity is unconscionable.1

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

Thanks for all you do.

-Pam and Mark Warren

SURVEY: What would you ask the 2020 candidates face-to-face?

Want me to ask a question of yours to the presidential candidates when I interview them in person next week?

Dear MoveOn member,

Want me to ask a question of yours to the presidential candidates when I interview them in person next week?

As you may have heard, MoveOn is hosting the Big Ideas Forum on June 1 in San Francisco. This is the first time in MoveOn's 20-year-history that we are producing a live, in-person forum with presidential candidates, and we want to make sure that MoveOn members are in the room—as well as the questions, agenda, and ideas from MoveOn members around the country.

Each candidate will have five minutes to present one "big idea"—an ambitious, transformative proposal to tackle the biggest challenges we face as a country. Afterward, my co-moderator Stephanie Valencia and I will have a chance to ask them about this idea, as well as to share other priorities critical to MoveOn members—and I'm committed to bringing at least one question directly from MoveOn members for each of the candidates we meet.

So we need your questions, your priorities, and your big ideas. There's so much to ask about—immigration, foreign policy, criminal justice reform, health care, economic justice, climate change, reproductive justice, and so much more. Tell us what's on YOUR mind.

MoveOn volunteers and staff will review all the questions, and I'll ask them at the Big Ideas Forum on June 1—and if it's your question, I'll make sure to say your name and where you're from as well.

And be sure to save the date to watch the Big Ideas Forum live! We'll be livestreaming it on Saturday, June 1.

Thanks for all you do.

—Karine

P.S. Know someone who always has great ideas and would also love to submit a question? Forward them this email!

CNN: Roe v. Wade is gone

This is not a drill. There are no more backstops or second chances. Abortion WILL be banned if the right-wing has its way—which is why it's imperative we fight back NOW.

Dear MoveOn member,

The final battle to save abortion rights is on.

Less than two weeks ago, Georgia joined Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Iowa, Louisiana, Utah, and North Dakota in banning abortion at six weeks or earlier, before most women know they are pregnant.1

Then last week, Alabama banned all abortion from the moment of conception—with no exceptions, even for child rape victims, punishable with 99 years in prison.2

And on Friday, the Missouri legislature voted to ban abortion at just eight weeks, with one Republican claiming that most sexual assaults are "consensual rapes."3 Meanwhile, abortion bans have been introduced in at least 28 states, and the Senate is holding hearings on a nationwide, 20-week ban.4,5

This is not a drill. There are no more backstops or second chances. Abortion WILL be banned if the right-wing has its way—which is why it's imperative we fight back NOW.

MoveOn is teaming up with abortion rights advocates to organize a rapid-response, 50-state protest at state capitols and other gathering places across the country. Will you chip in to help pull off these actions and save Roe v. Wade?

Click here to rush an emergency contribution of $3, or whatever you can afford, to help us support these events and run a fierce campaign defending abortion rights.

The minute Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed for the Supreme Court, anti-choice politicians jumped into action, introducing a wave of abortion bans more radical than anything we've ever seen before.

Under the Alabama ban, doctors face 99 years in jail for even attempting to provide an abortion. That's more jail time than a rapist would receive in cases where the pregnancy was the result of rape.6

In Georgia, women could be criminally charged for miscarriages and jailed even if they travel to another state to access a legal abortion.7

Texas even has a bill that would make abortion punishable with the death penalty.8

Their explicit goal is to take these laws to the Supreme Court and get Roe v. Wade overturned.9 And if you think you're safe because you live in a blue state, think again. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham has already started holding hearings on his nationwide, 20-week abortion ban.

Donald Trump and the radical right won't stop until all abortion is banned—or until they pay such a political price they don't dare continue. That's why we must get out in the streets now to put anti-choice politicians on notice that they will NOT get away with this.

Click here to rush $3, or whatever you can afford, to help pull off Tuesday's 50-state, nationwide "Stop the Bans" rallies for abortion rights.

Remember when Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch testified about how much they respect "precedent"? They lied through their teeth, just like Trump does every day.

Just this week, the Republican majority threw out a 40-year precedent on states' rights. Last year, they threw out a 42-year-old precedent, gutting the power of public workers' unions.10

Kavanaugh and Gorsuch wanted us to believe that they would never consider overruling decisions that have been on the books as long as Roe v. Wade or Casey v. Planned Parenthood, the 1992 decision that reaffirmed and scaled back the protections of Roe.

Senators like Susan Collins were fools to ever believe these empty promises, and now our backs are against the wall, with abortion rights hanging by a thread.

This Tuesday's actions are just the beginning of this final, last-ditch fight to save abortion rights. We will continue protesting, keep fighting bans in state legislatures and in Congress, oppose any further right-wing judicial nominations—and, most importantly, do everything humanly possible to put this issue front and center in the 2020 presidential election. Will you chip in $3?

Yes, I'll chip in to help save abortion rights.

Thanks for all you do.

Start a petition demanding AT&T stop donating to politicians that are enacting abortion bans across the country?

Dear Eddie,

According to Popular Information, "AT&T has donated nearly $200,000 to politicians that advocated for and enacted abortion bans in six states."

Politicians in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, and Missouri are being directly funded by corporations as they try to pass full bans on abortions. This is unacceptable. If AT&T is serious about being champions of women and gender equality, they should not be funding these direct attacks on reproductive rights.1

It sounds like MoveOn members would be interested in signing a petition in support of this issue, but a local member like you needs to take the lead by launching a campaign on MoveOn's online petition site. If you get the petition started, we'll give you support and help you get it going. Can you take the lead?

Yes, I'll start up this petition

I can't start the petition, but I'll sign it if someone else does.

Tuesday: Protest to keep abortion safe and legal

Join one of over 300 actions this week to protect access to safe and legal abortions.

Dear MoveOn member,

Access to safe and legal abortion is being threatened across the country.

The restrictive abortion bans in Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and more and more states are specifically designed to gut the protections provided by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade and potentially overturn Roe entirely.

But a surge of outrage all across the country has met these attacks. Over the past few days, regular folks have joined together to organize hundreds of events this week to stop the bans and protect reproductive freedoms.

Click here to join an action and say, "We won't go back! Stop the Bans!"

We need to be loud now—to demand the attention of lawmakers across the country, as well as local and national media, and to show that this movement to defend abortion rights is only going to keep growing. No one has the right to get between a patient and their doctor. Gutting Roe would send us back to a reality where abortion is illegal, and where more women, particularly lower income women and women of color, will die or be injured.

That's why MoveOn is joining with NARAL, Planned Parenthood, Women's March, Indivisible, and so many more to ensure everyone knows that the majority of Americans support everyone having access to a legal and safe abortion.Click here to find an action near you and RSVP now.

Over 300 actions will take place across the country this week, organized by local activists, like you, who want to protect reproductive freedom. We know MoveOn members are fired up and ready to take action. Already, MoveOn members have raised nearly $200,000 for the Yellowhammer Fund to ensure people in Alabama have the resources they need to access abortions while their rights are under attack. Now we're taking to the streets to ensure these attacks never become law and demand state governments protect our reproductive freedom.

Join an action near you tomorrow to protect our reproductive freedom.

Thanks for all you do.

What an honor!

Watch the largest petition delivery in U.S. history—for impeaching Trump!

Dear MoveOn member,

Well that was something! At a press conference the other day, I received ten million signatures—the largest petition delivery in U.S. history—calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump.

This is Representative Rashida Tlaib from Michigan. And I was excited to be on the right side of history, along with Representative Al Green, when we had the honor of receiving this massive petition as we fight the outrageous abuses of power and rampant criminal corruption of the Trump administration.

Watch and share this clip from the press conference and join me in supporting an immediate impeachment investigation against Donald Trump.

https://act.moveon.org/go/65546?t=3&akid=234286%2E10220574%2EQN9TPX

As I stood with concerned Americans, received the 10 million signatures, and read some of the comments left by constituents in my home district, it was a reminder of how far we are coming together in the public case for holding the president accountable.

Back in January, I was one of the first members of this Congress to call for the impeachment of Donald Trump. Well before the Mueller report's release, we already had all the information we needed to begin impeachment hearings, just based on what Trump had done in plain sight during two years in office.

Now, with the evidence from Robert Mueller and with Trump's rampant abuses of power to pursue his hateful agenda, I have introduced a resolution calling for Congress to begin an inquiry investigating whether grounds to impeach Donald Trump exist and, if so, to act—but I need your help. Click here to watch and share the video to help spread the word about the movement calling for an impeachment inquiry.

It can be easy to be desensitized to big numbers here in D.C., so I want to just take a moment to appreciate how historic this petition delivery is. Ten million signers is more than the entire population of the cities of Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston ... combined! Whenever anyone tells you that impeachment is not politically possible, you can tell them that the largest petition in U.S. history, as far as we know, says otherwise!

Every day brings new obstruction and abuse from the Trump administration—as they defy subpoenas, stonewall Congress, and continue to trample on our rights and liberties. The fact that last week was the anniversary of Trump's family separation policy—for which nobody has yet been held accountable—is proof of the high stakes of our fight to confront and stop this administration's hateful and illegal agenda.

This show of popular sentiment can put wind in the sails of my impeachment investigation resolution, will help more members of Congress of both parties to see that impeachment is critical, and can ensure that nobody—not Trump, not his cronies—is above the law. And just like impeachment, today was a team effort; many allies, including Free Speech for People, Democracy for America, CREDO, By the People, Need to Impeach, and more joined MoveOn members' voices to reach 10 million, because we're louder together!

Together, we must make our voices heard. Because doing nothing is dangerous. Trump is blatantly disregarding our Constitution and our ethical norms. By delaying impeachment investigations and falsely claiming that we need more evidence, my colleagues are bolstering Trump's lies that we have nothing on him. We must hold him accountable, using the only tool that makes sense: impeachment investigations.

Thanks for all you do.
