Your jaw will hit the floor

On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security warned publicly for the first time that the country faces a growing threat from "violent domestic extremists" emboldened by the Capitol attack.

Dear MoveOn member,

On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security warned publicly for the first time that the country faces a growing threat from "violent domestic extremists" emboldened by the Capitol attack.1

The department said that the extremists' motivation includes anger over "the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives."2

Also on Wednesday, the Capitol Police announced the January 6 white supremacist insurrection left nearly 140 officers injured, including some who suffered brain injuries or smashed spinal discs.3 And in addition to the five people, including one officer, who died in the attack, two additional officers present during the siege have since died by suicide.4

Yet Republican leaders are saying "it's time to move on" from the insurrection, and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy just rewarded GOP members who helped incite the violence, such as Representative Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who tweeted "Today is 1776" before the Capitol riot, and QAnon-supporting Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, with coveted committee assignments.5,6

The 14th Amendment says that someone who "engaged in insurrection" cannot serve in Congress. The Democratic majority must do everything in their power to remove the members of Congress who incited violence and attempted to violently overturn the results of the November election.

That's why MoveOn is leading a massive effort to hold the insurrectionists accountable by demanding their immediate resignation or expulsion from Congress. We're prepared to go big with TV ads, billboards, and "homepage takeover" ads blanketing the websites of local newspapers in the seditionists' districts, and we need your help to ensure we have the resources to hold these traitors accountable, no matter how long it takes. Will you chip in $5 a month to help make it possible?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly to help remove seditionists from Congress.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

CNN reported last week that Rep. Greene—who wears to the Capitol a black face mask with large white letters that read, "TRUMP WON"—repeatedly backed calls for the execution of Democratic lawmakers, including Nancy Pelosi, and FBI agents who she believed were part of the "deep state" working against Trump.7 She indicated support for Pelosi's getting "a bullet to the head" and urged her ouster "through removal or death, doesn't matter, as long as she goes."8

Marjorie Taylor Greene's posts may be more blatant than anything we've seen so far, but they are consistent with statements made in the lead-up to the January 6 insurrection from Republican members of Congress like Mo Brooks, Paul Gosar, and Madison Cawthorn.

The violence we saw on January 6 is dangerously close to becoming a normalized part of the GOP playbook. And, as last week's warning from the Department of Homeland Security makes clear, the threat of further violence remains.

Unless there are clear, legal consequences for these actions, the Republicans who took part will believe that they got away with it and try again, potentially with even more bloodshed.

We have an ambitious plan to hold Rep. Greene and the other January 6 seditionists accountable:

  • We're mobilizing pressure on these Republicans in their home districts to demand their resignation and are prepared to launch billboards, TV ads, and online messaging so that constituents know exactly how dangerous their representatives' words and actions are.
  • At the same time, we're building grassroots support for Democratic leaders in Congress to use their authority to enforce the 14th Amendment by expelling Rep. Greene and the others who aided and organized the January 6 insurrection.

If the GOP seditionists aren't removed by resignation or expulsion, they must be defeated for re-election when they face the voters in 2022.

But our resources come from our members, and we can't make it happen without you. Will you chip in $5 a month to power this work?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly to help remove seditionists from Congress.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Together, we will not let incitements to white supremacist violence become normalized or swept under the rug.

Thanks for all you do.

CORRECTION: Biden's COVID-19 relief proposal

We're sorry that we misstated the size of Biden's $1.9 trillion proposal

CORRECTION: A previous version of this email put the size of Biden's relief proposal at $1.4 trillion. It's actually $1.9 trillion and that's been updated below. We're sorry for the mistake! You can read more details about the proposal here and then sign the petition to your representatives calling on them to pass robust relief immediately.

Dear MoveOn member,

The COVID-19 pandemic is worse than it's ever been. Nearly one year in, and cases are still increasing. Families across the country continue to grapple with unparalleled losses of income and necessary support systems. And despite the promise of relief from the vaccine, states are struggling with distribution.

So even as we continue to wear masks, keep physically distant, and care for our neighbors, the situation remains dire for far too many.

With nothing less than survival for tens of millions of Americans at stake, we need real, robust relief, and we need it now. Congress must strengthen and expand the Biden proposal and pass it immediately.

Along with the ongoing public health crisis, we continue to be challenged by an economic crisis that has left millions unemployed, uninsured, housing and food insecure, and more. We need our political leaders to step up in a major way and with the utmost urgency to tackle these overlapping crises. This is a once-in-a-century emergency, and it demands groundbreaking solutions to match.

President Biden has proposed a $1.9 trillion relief package, representing an important first step in getting aid and relief to those who need it to survive this crisis. But we're already hearing troubling resistance from Republicans and even some Democrats—that the size of the proposal is too large, or that they don't like certain provisions, or that they don't see the need to pass relief right now. They are wrong. Those of us who are surviving through the crisis day to day know exactly how dire and urgent the need is for ourselves, our families, and our communities.

We need to send a message to all of our representatives, and we need to be loud and clear: Relief for those of us facing down the impacts of this crisis can't wait.

The Biden COVID-19 relief proposal includes another round of survival checks, enhanced and extended unemployment insurance, more funding for vaccinations, an increase in the minimum wage to $15 per hour, and more.

It's a great first step in tackling this burgeoning crisis, and members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus have already been organizing to strengthen the proposal in the House of Representatives.

As we're pressuring our representatives to pass the package, here are a few things it should ensure:

  • Immigrants in the U.S. receive the same dignity, care, and respect as everyone else and are not left out of relief once again. This package should include survival checks and health care coverage for immigrants, and a pathway to citizenship for essential workers, immigrant youth, and TPS recipients.
  • Everyone can see a doctor. With millions unemployed and losing insurance, we need emergency health care coverage via a public plan.
  • The proposal contains a modest amount of funding, but more aid to states and localities is needed to prevent layoffs and cuts to essential services.
  • And last but not least, we can't allow Republicans in Congress to water down Biden's proposal for a $15 federal minimum wage—or cut it out of any final legislation altogether.
  • There are other important ways that the proposal could be strengthened or expanded as well: student debt forgiveness; auto-stabilizers so that assistance continues until the economy recovers, rather than expiring on an artificial timeline; rent and mortgage cancellation; and more.

Overall, it's important that our representatives hear that we want them to expand and strengthen the Biden proposal, not water it down further. Click here to sign the petition demanding real COVID relief now.

One last point: While President Biden has put forward calls for bipartisanship and unity—on a proposal that should be embraced by any elected official who doesn't want to see their constituents suffer—the reality is that most Republicans won't support legislation that provides relief to middle- and working-class Americans.

There's no time to waste in getting people the relief they need to survive, and if Republicans won't get on board, Democrats should be prepared to pass this proposal—and future ones—without them.

Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer, along with Senate Budget Committee Chair Bernie Sanders, have all spoken up in support of using Congress's reconciliation process to pass the proposal, which would allow Democrats to pass it in the Senate with a simple majority, instead of trying to convince 10 or more recalcitrant Republicans to vote for it. This is absolutely what must happen to ensure our communities are able to weather the brutality of the pandemic, and every representative must be ready to vote for reconciliation in the House and the Senate.

Whether our representatives are Democrats or Republicans, they need to get on board or get out of the way.

Remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (petition)

Her support for QAnon and attacks against the Parkland students have no place in Congress. Her support for QAnon and attacks against the Parkland students have no place in Congress.

Dear MoveOn member,

We'll get straight to the point. U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) supports the QAnon cult, has called deadly school shootings "false flag" operations by gun reform advocacy groups,1 and thinks Jewish space lasers are responsible for a wildfire in California.2 Yet somehow Representative Greene has secured a position on the House Committee on Education and Labor. This cannot stand.

Sign now: Tell Republican leaders to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from the House Committee on Education and Labor!

Hundreds of posts, likes, and comments showing Rep. Greene inciting violence by spewing baseless conspiracy theories that have endangered the lives of many are resurfacing all over the internet. Rep. Greene is seen in one of these posts supporting the execution of prominent Democratic politicians.3 She is even seen on Capitol Hill, harassing Parkland student and activist David Hogg and other survivors of gun violence.4

Rep. Greene was recently assigned to the House Committee on Education and Labor by Republican leadership. This is unacceptable. In 2019, Republicans removed Representative Steve King of Iowa from the Judiciary and Agriculture Committees in response to his support for white nationalists.5 The same must be done to Rep. Greene.

Based on this precedent, her incitement of violence, and her egregious attacks on our democracy, Republican House leaders can and must remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committee appointment.

Throughout history, we've seen white supremacy and far-right groups go unchecked for the violence and terror they have caused.  Most recently, Donald Trump was enabled and supported by Republicans for four years as he attacked our democracy over and over.

It's long overdue for the GOP to grow a spine. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's support for QAnon and her attacks against survivors of gun violence have no place in Congress. Her dangerous ideas have no place in Congress.

Add your name to this petition to demand that Republican leaders remove Rep. Greene from the House Committee on Education and Labor.

Thanks!

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene advocated the murder of Democrats

CNN reported this week that Rep. Greene—who wears to the Capitol a black face mask with large white letters that read, "TRUMP WON"—repeatedly backed calls for the execution of Democratic lawmakers, including Nancy Pelosi, and FBI agents who she believed were part of the "deep state" working against Trump.

Tell Nextdoor: Ban QAnon

If Nextdoor truly cares about community well-being, it will ban QAnon content in public and private groups, and set up content moderation policies that explicitly target white supremacy and racism. Sign the petition.

Dear MoveOn member,

The January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol had right-wing extremists and conspiracy groups like QAnon at the center of the violence.1 But moderators at Nextdoor, a neighborhood-based social network, have been sounding the alarm to the company about the growing number of QAnon groups on the platform since at least last October. Nextdoor took months to respond, finally sending a message to moderators five days after the violent insurrection in Washington, D.C. In their late response, Nextdoor simply referred moderators to its policy on COVID-19 and election misinformation, which has no guidance about incitement of violence or fear, leaving moderators without a way to protect their communities.2

Sign the petition demanding Nextdoor ban this dangerous QAnon content.

As we know—and saw just a few days ago at the Capitol—white supremacy is violent online and offline. Nextdoor feeds this violence by allowing QAnon on its platform. If Nextdoor truly cares about community well-being, it will ban QAnon content in public and private groups, and set up content moderation policies that explicitly target white supremacy and racism.

According to Vox, calls from Nextdoor moderators for an outright ban on QAnon have been growing since January 6.3 Nextdoor now says—privately—that it views QAnon as a hate group.4 Yet, the company has no plans to make that hardly courageous opinion public.

Unfortunately, Nextdoor's racism problem doesn't start or end with QAnon. After the police murder of George Floyd, Nextdoor put out a statement saying, "Black lives matter," and "Everyone should feel safe in their neighborhood."5 But Black and brown Nextdoor users felt that Nextdoor actually enabled racial profiling and allowed moderators to take down content that supported the Black Lives Matter movement.

With that history, it's no surprise that right-wing conspiracy groups are flourishing on Nextdoor.

Other platforms. including Twitter, which suspended over 70,000 QAnon-linked accounts, are taking the threat of QAnon seriously.6 By doing nothing, Nextdoor is helping hate groups spread online lies and incite offline violence in thousands of neighborhoods. Nextdoor needs to know that its negligence is dangerous and damaging to both democracy and the company itself.

Sign this petition telling Nextdoor's CEO to ban QAnon on its platform.

Thanks!

Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley

This is not about revenge. It is about making sure this doesn't happen again. Most Republican voters still believe that the election was stolen, because of the lies they were told by GOP leaders. Cruz and Hawley believe that they have gained politically from their actions. Trump hasn't gone away, and neither have the white supremacists he emboldened and radicalized.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley are enemies of democracy, and they must not remain in Congress. Democracy cannot abide lawless lawmakers.

I've been in or around politics for over a half-century now. The current Republican Party is the most treacherous, corrupt, and cult-like institution that I have ever encountered.

The Biden presidency marks a new beginning, but we dare not minimize, forget, or dismiss the calamity of the last several weeks—or the last four years. Unity does not mean letting the instigators of an attempted government coup off the hook.

That's why I'm writing to you today.

MoveOn is leading a huge, all-hands-on-deck campaign to demand that Donald Trump be convicted in his Senate impeachment trial and banned from seeking federal office again, and that the traitors in Congress be immediately removed from office. I've seen MoveOn's plans, and I am impressed and inspired, which is why I have a personal request:

Will you chip in $5 a month to power MoveOn's ambitious campaign to demand that Trump and the GOP traitors be held accountable? With your help, MoveOn will be prepared to buy hard-hitting ads and billboards, flood Congress with phone calls, and do whatever else is needed to demand accountability for as long as it takes.

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Right before the storming of the Capitol on January 6, Representative Lauren Boebert tweeted, "Today is 1776."1

At the rally that preceded the riot, Representative Mo Brooks said, "Today is the day that American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass."2

We must expel Boebert, Brooks, and other seditionists in Congress who incited or helped organize the events leading up to the attack on the Capitol.

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution is clear: Those who engage in rebellion or insurrection against the U.S. government are disqualified from serving in Congress.3

Trump must be convicted in his impeachment trial in the Senate, and it must be swift and serious.

In the coming days and weeks, MoveOn will mobilize to help President Joe Biden implement the most important and progressive parts of his agenda. But MoveOn will also keep running tactics like hard-hitting ads, putting up billboards that capture people's attention and can't be missed, organizing massive call-in days and letter writing campaigns—whatever it takes to remove the insurrectionists from Congress and convict Trump in the Senate.

MoveOn's resources come from its members—people like you—who make this critical work possible. Will you join us and do your part by chipping in $5 a month now? MoveOn needs your help to have the consistent financial resources to run ads, flood Congress with phone calls, deliver petitions, and do whatever else is needed for as long as it takes to ensure accountability.

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

As additional details come out and more firsthand accounts continue to be pieced together, one thing is clear: Dangerous, militant extremists plotted to overtake the Capitol. These insurrectionists came to Washington with the intent of committing violence against lawmakers.

This is what Trump and his enablers have unleashed on our country. We can't let them get away with it—or it will happen again.

MoveOn needs your help to keep the pressure on—and for as long as it takes—to hold the traitors in Congress accountable. Nothing could be more urgent to America's future as a democracy. I know that times are tough for so many right now. But if you have the means, will you chip in $5 a month to help out?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Thanks for all you do.

How we can remove seditionists from Congress

Trump is no longer the president, and I say that we treat him as though he never was. No $200,000 pension. No million-dollar travel budget. No national security briefings. No respect.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Now that Democrats are in power, I've got an idea: Let's defund Donald Trump's presidential pension and divert the funds to reunite migrant children with their parents.

Trump is no longer the president, and I say that we treat him as though he never was. No $200,000 pension. No million-dollar travel budget. No national security briefings. No respect. Not for someone who led a white supremacist insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, did everything he could to attack Black and brown communities, and trampled on our democratic values.

But we can't stop at holding only Trump accountable. We also need to hold accountable Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and all other right-wing members of Congress who helped incite a deadly, white supremacist attack on our Capitol and our democracy.

Which is why my friends at MoveOn—the biggest progressive advocacy organization in the country—are leading a huge, all-hands-on-deck campaign to demand that Trump be convicted in his Senate impeachment trial and banned from seeking federal office again, and that the seditionist members of Congress be immediately removed from office.

Folks at MoveOn have just shown me their campaign plans, and I'm impressed, which is why I'm writing to you with a personal request: Will you chip in $5 a month to power MoveOn's ambitious campaign to hold Trump and the GOP traitors in Congress accountable? With your help, MoveOn will be prepared to buy hard-hitting ads and billboards, flood Congress with phone calls, and do whatever else is needed to demand accountability for as long as it takes.

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Mar, I was greatly dismayed when I read the explosive court filings in which federal prosecutors allege that the white supremacist mob that stormed the Capitol aimed to "capture and assassinate elected officials."1

I was sickened when I read that some members of the mob even carried nooses, bats, pipes, chemical weapons, and zip-tie handcuffs, and that others planted bombs around Washington, D.C., in an effort to divert law enforcement from the Capitol.2

And I was disgusted by the video released last week in which the violent mob clearly says they were inspired by Trump, Cruz, Hawley, and other right-wing members of Congress. Members of the mob are heard saying: "[Ted] Cruz would want us to do this." "We are listening to Trump." "We are at war … traitors to the guillotine."3

But nothing has repulsed me more than the chilling allegations that sitting members of Congress may have actively aided and abetted the attack. Bombshell reports allege that Republican members of Congress may have led leaders of the white supremacist riot on "reconnaissance" tours of the building the day before the attack, apparently to make sure that they would know where to find the targets of their violence, including then-Vice President Mike Pence. And there are allegations that right-wing Representative Lauren Boebert live-tweeted Speaker Nancy Pelosi's location and movements during the attack on Capitol Hill, in what appears to have been an effort to help the racist mob locate her.4,5

We simply can't let this despicable attack on our principles and one of our most cherished democratic institutions—an attack instigated from inside Congress—go unanswered. Which is why we absolutely must do everything we can to ensure that any right-wing politicians who incited racist violence are removed from office and held to account.

Will you chip in $5 a month to help power MoveOn's nationwide, emergency campaign to demand that seditionists be removed from Congress? MoveOn needs your help to have the consistent financial resources to run ads, flood Congress with phone calls, deliver petitions, and do whatever else is needed for as long as it takes to ensure accountability.

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Like you, I watched the inauguration on Wednesday and felt a surge of hope and redemption.

We witnessed our cherished tradition of the transfer of power when Joe Biden was sworn in as president of the United States.

We saw Kamala Harris make history as the first woman, first Asian American, and first Black person to assume the vice presidency.

We saw Trump leave office, with his tail between his legs, scurrying off to Mar-a-Lago.

Today, Stephen Miller no longer works at the White House, and Jared Kushner no longer has an office in the West Wing.

And Mitch McConnell is now officially the Senate MINORITY leader.

Darn, that feels good.

But while our nation came together to toss these vile figures out of power, the harm they've inflicted remains. And the work to undo their despicable legacy begins with ensuring that there are serious consequences for Trump and every member of Congress who incited the white supremacist mob to launch an attack on our Capitol that left several people dead and many others injured.

I know that times are tough for so many right now. But if you have the means, will you chip in $5 a month to fight white supremacy and protect democracy?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Thanks for all you do.

Sign: Members of Congress who tried to overturn the election should be removed

All 147 Republican members of the House and Senate who voted against certifying the results of the 2020 election on January 6 must be expelled and removed for delegitimizing and trying to overturn the results of a free and fair election.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

On November 3, 2020, former Vice President Joe Biden was elected to be the 46th president of the United States by overwhelming margins in the popular vote and the Electoral College. Despite Biden's decisive victory, Donald Trump and other prominent Republicans commenced a daily assault on the legitimacy of the election that includes filing dozens of frivolous lawsuits seeking to have the results invalidated.

Hundreds of Republican elected officials across the country amplified these false claims, and in doing so, they helped incite the January 6 attack on our democracy at the Capitol building, which left five people dead, including one Capitol Police officer.

And even after this deadly insurrection, 147 Republicans still voted against certifying the election. This is unfathomable. Sign the petition here if you agree they should be expelled.

All 147 Republican members of the House and Senate who voted against certifying the results of the 2020 election on January 6 must be expelled and removed for delegitimizing and trying to overturn the results of a free and fair election.

After the Civil War, the courageous Reconstruction Congress implanted safeguards to protect our government from traitors and others who would seek to destroy the Union. To that end, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment stipulates:

"No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

During the four years Trump was president, House Republicans pledged their loyalty to Trump above our country. In 2019, nearly every Republican refused to vote to impeach Trump for his numerous violations of his oath of office and his abuses of power. They have proven over and over again that they are unreasonable, condone lawlessness, and are unfit to hold ANY position in elected public office. And two weeks ago, that unconditional loyalty to Trump helped foster a deadly insurrection, one that has scarred our country for years to come.

ALL 147 Republicans who voted against certifying the 2020 election should be removed immediately.

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

Thanks!

Watch and share: Biden's day-one accomplishments

Wednesday marked the beginning of a new era—and we're already seeing the impact.

Dear MoveOn member,

Wednesday marked the beginning of a new era—and we're already seeing the impact.

The first step to rejoining the Paris Agreement to confront climate change. A proposal for a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented Americans without any increased enforcement. The end of the Muslim and African Ban. And there is so much more President Biden and Vice President Harris can and will have to do to meet the crises of the moment—and their accomplishments require us to fight alongside them and push them and the Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress to govern boldly and swiftly to create real change.

Will you watch and share this video that highlights some of the accomplishments on day one? Check it out, share it, and use it to tell the world about how elections have consequences. Then recommit to working for even more progress toward an America that works for all of us through the first 100 days of the Biden-Harris administration and beyond.

video still of MoveOn's Executive Director

President Biden and Vice President Harris now have a historic opportunity to rise to meet a series of crises facing our country. The work of day one was inspirational. There's more to come—and so much more we need from them and the Democratic majorities in Congress:

  • A massive COVID relief and stimulus package that puts people—not corporations—first, that includes recurring direct payments to Americans, a longtime plan to prevent a foreclosure and eviction crisis, free health care for all Americans, and coverage for undocumented Americans—building upon President Biden's framework to increase the minimum wage to $15, invest in vaccination distribution and testing, and bring relief to state and local governments.
  • Sweeping measures to finally make our democracy work for all of us—to curtail the influence of money in politics, expand voting access, restore ethics and transparency, and more. This includes statehood for Washington, D.C., so that the hundreds of thousands of Americans in this majority-Black city are fully represented in the halls of Congress and have access to the resources they need and deserve.
  • A moonshot level of focus and investment in combating climate change through a green recovery and an end to reliance on fossil fuels.
  • Freeing millions of Americans from billions in student debt that is a burden on our economy and giving these Americans a chance to live their lives without the hardship of education debt.
  • An overhaul of our criminal justice system to dismantle the carceral state and to defund the police who systematically use violence against Black and brown people.
  • Restoring the rights of millions of LGBTQ+ people who deserve to be treated equally in health care, adoption, their service to their country, and every aspect of their lives.

And that's on top of working to make sure Republicans don't block essential stimulus measures and steps to confront the coronavirus, making President Biden's plan for immigration a reality, confirming bold appointees to the courts and critical commissions—all while Congress, the Department of Justice, and law enforcement agencies across the country need to tackle the threat of violent white supremacists and hold Trump and his seditious GOP enablers accountable for the violence they incited two weeks ago. Majority Leader Schumer must eliminate the filibuster, or all of this could be impossible to pass in the Senate.

Democrats must use every tool at their disposal to deliver real relief and progress to communities, from reforming the broken rules of our institutions to executive orders.

Trump may be gone, but let's not pretend that makes any of this work easy. Republicans will seek to block the Biden-Harris agenda. Democrats, eyeing a narrow majority, may be cautious. Big Money lobbyists will shout to be heard. Right-wing extremists and white supremacists still stand at the ready.

So we'll need to shout louder. We'll need to use our power.

Today, we can raise our voices with cheers of joy, relief, and hope at the new era and the progress we're already seeing. Share this Inauguration Day video on the big proposals President Biden has already enacted, and add what you want to see him do next.

Tomorrow, we'll double our efforts to raise our voices to demand the White House and Congress take aggressive steps and that we see solutions as big as the challenges we face.

Thanks for all you do.

Can we send you a FREE "Madam Vice President" sticker?

To celebrate the inauguration of the new administration and Vice President Kamala Harris' historic achievement, we've just printed a big batch of "Madam Vice President" stickers, and we're giving them away for free while supplies last!

Dear MoveOn member,

Yesterday was a day for the history books! Not only did we close the door on the disastrous last four years, but we also witnessed a set of momentous firsts: Kamala Harris was sworn in as the first woman, first Black person, and first person of South Asian descent to serve as our nation's vice president!

To celebrate the inauguration of the new administration and Vice President Harris' historic achievement, we've just printed a big batch of "Madam Vice President" stickers, and we're giving them away for free while supplies last!

Just click here or on the image below now to get your sticker!

Vice President Harris was escorted to the inauguration by her alma mater Howard University's marching band, and she was sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina to serve on the Supreme Court.

And because of the 50-50 split in the Senate, Vice President Harris will become one of the most consequential vice presidents in recent history, responsible for casting the tie-breaking votes to pass legislation for coronavirus pandemic relief, address the climate crisis, expand health care, protect voting rights, and more.

After four dark years, and in the shadow of the attempted right-wing coup perpetrated earlier this month, let this be a joyous reminder of the victories we can achieve as a multiracial, multi-generational movement for progress.

Commemorate history with your very own "Madam Vice President" sticker. Click here to order your free sticker now, while supplies last!

Thanks for all you do.
