RSVP (impeachment)

Join and demand Congress shows that Nobody Is Above the Law on the evening before the House impeaches Trump

Dear Eddie,

Where will you be the evening before the House impeaches Donald Trump?

Yesterday, the House decisively added momentum to impeachment, passing rules for the hearings to come, even as more damning evidence continues to mount each day.1

It now feels almost inevitable that before long, the House will have a full floor vote on articles of impeachment. And for good reason: On top of all of his past impeachable offenses, the Ukraine scandal has shown Trump abusing his power and extorting a foreign leader to interfere in a U.S. election for his personal benefit.

But yesterday's vote and this momentum were never inevitable at all! Public pressure—our collective pressure—has changed the political calculus in Washington. So when the actual impeachment vote happens, whether it's in a couple of weeks or a couple of months, we need to be part of the moment, showing that Americans believe nobody is above the law ... and that after the House impeaches, the Senate must act to convict and remove Trump. And that's why we're taking action now, rather than waiting for the House vote, to plan events all across the country. You can check out the map with more than 200 events already, and add your name or create a new event closer to home.

Over the next few weeks, we've got to keep showing up and demanding impeachment—to make sure Democrats stand strong and to push Republicans to put their constituents and our Constitution over their loyalty to Trump. By the time of the vote, we need to drive headlines across the country and globally—saying that the American people expect and demand that the House and the Senate act and prove that nobody is above the law.

With these protests, we have an opportunity to lead Americans in historic demonstrations demanding an end to a bigoted, hateful presidency and the dangerous corruption and lawlessness that threaten the core of our democracy. We have the opportunity to make the impeachment vote a turning point, the start of a new page in American history.

Click here to join a Nobody Is Above the Law event in your community, calling on your representative to pass articles of impeachment and senators to convict and remove him from office.

From the largest day of protest in our nation's history the day after Trump's inauguration to flooding the streets with 100,000 people the day after he sought to stifle the investigation into himself (and two days after the blue wave dealt Trump a massive rebuke), time and again, we've dug deep and committed ourselves to the fight for justice by rejecting Trump's corruption and abuses as the "new normal."2 Now, we have a chance to finish the job we committed ourselves to.

Join us.

Thanks for all you do.
