My plans for 2018

This is former Labor Secretary Robert Reich. I've been a MoveOn member for many years. And since 2009, MoveOn and I have partnered on making videos—most recently on Trumpcare (which MoveOn members played a huge role in defeating), voter suppression, the Supreme Court, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Dreamers, and the GOP's tax scam—which, outrageously, just passed and which we'll need to fight to overturn together.

Hi, fellow MoveOn member!

I'm proud to have made these videos with MoveOn. The videos have been seen millions of times and have truly helped progressives shift the debate—and win—on critical issues.

After years of making videos with MoveOn, I wanted to do even more. So, I decided to "go big" and launch my own nonprofit—called Inequality Media—to make even more videos, engage the public in more discussions, and have an even bigger impact.

Since starting up this nonprofit, we've made 123 videos that have been viewed over 280 million times. Thirty-six of those videos were made in collaboration with MoveOn. Many of the others have been made with other great advocacy and organizing partners. And we've done all that on a shoestring budget, operating with just four staff members.

With more funds, I'm confident that we can reach many more Americans and be even more impactful. That's why I'm writing to you today.

Would you consider making a tax-deductible gift today to support my nonprofit organization, Inequality Media, as we continue to partner with MoveOn and make our own videos, too?

At Inequality Media, we strive to create videos with clear, factual, and engaging information on the economy, the environment, civil rights, education, health care, the federal budget, and our democratic institutions.

In addition to all that, we also post timely information on our Facebook page and stream live discussions, including the "Resistance Report." We even co-produced a full-length documentary, "Saving Capitalism," which is now streaming on Netflix.

Our goal at Inequality Media is to provide clear and factual information about the economy and policy. At a time when those in power are spreading dangerous and hateful lies, this mission is more important than ever. We must come together to resist lies and hateful rhetoric and stand up for truth, equality, and democracy.

I would be grateful if you would support Inequality Media and help us continue our work as we head into 2018. Since we're a section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation to Inequality Media will be tax-deductible.

It's individual donations from people like you that will allow us to continue doing our work and grow as we head into 2018. Your support will enable us to spread the truth, strengthen democracy, and inspire meaningful action toward a better future for all Americans.

Thanks for all you do.

–Robert Reich
