This summer, MoveOn is launching the Resist & Win program to support grassroots activists like you to end GOP control of the House of Representatives and to grow our long-term movement to build the democracy we dream of. Apply now to become a 2018 MoveOn Resist & Win Leader, organizing locally to end GOP control of the House.
Grassroots activists have always been the backbone of social change throughout history, and it's no different now. We're not waiting for anyone or any party to do the work for us.
With Republicans out of control of the House, they'll no longer control everything in Washington. We'll have greater power to influence Democrats to pass the Dream Act to stop the deportation of young people, to pursue real accountability for Trump and his enablers, and to end the rubber stamp that Republicans are giving to white supremacy.
And when we demonstrate that Democrats win elections by being bold, we can hold Democrats accountable to our progressive, commonsense ideals such as health care for all, the end of mass incarceration, good union jobs, justice for immigrants, diplomacy not war, and a healthy climate and planet.

MoveOn Resist & Win Leaders will ...
- Participate in world-class organizing training sessions online as part of the MoveOn Digital Summer Camp from July 8 to August 8, 2018—just 3-5 hours per week from the comfort of your home (or wherever you will be this summer!).
- Have the opportunity to apply to attend the two-day MoveOn National Grassroots Leadership Summit (location TBA) with hundreds of grassroots movement leaders from around the country, August 25-26, 2018.
- Lead regular Volunteer Waves this summer and fall to help MoveOn member-endorsed candidates win and demonstrate the lasting, independent progressive power of MoveOn members (with T-shirts, oh yes!). (A Volunteer Wave is a MoveOn member-attended community voter contact day of action at the local campaign office of a MoveOn member-endorsed candidate for Congress.)
- Be part of an inspiring, supportive, diverse, and accountable community of fellow social change-makers. You'll support others to lead Volunteer Waves. This is how we build the movement!

In 2017, 1,000 Resistance Summer MoveOn Mobilizers trained in organizing skills, built community, and took collective action. Together, we helped win pivotal elections in Virginia and Alabama, ousted white supremacist Steve Bannon from the White House, expanded health care access in states such as Maine, resisted the Muslim Ban, and stood with Dreamers.
