Dear MoveOn member,
Trader Joe's uses non-responsibly-sourced palm oil, which can contribute to deforestation and destruction of the habitats of rhinos, orangutans, and tigers.1 Trader Joe's is willing to reconsider its palm oil sources if we speak up.
When I wrote to Trader Joe's to complain about its palm oil use, the company responded by saying that they'd reconsider their products if more people showed an interest.
Land is being deforested and animals are going extinct because of planting palm oil trees. This must stop, as there are alternatives to palm oil, and there are responsible sources for palm oil.
Thanks!
