Dear MoveOn member,
When Robert Mueller testified before Congress today, he underscored that Donald Trump was not exonerated by his investigation, that the reason that Mueller's team did not consider indicting the president was because of the Justice Department policy that forbids indicting a sitting president, that when Trump leaves office he could be charged with obstruction of justice, and that it is up to Congress to hold him accountable before that day.
During today's hearing, Robert Mueller repeatedly acknowledged that Trump met the qualifications for obstruction of justice by attempting to shut down the Mueller investigation and by tampering with witnesses. And his testimony confirmed what many of us have said again and again: No one is above the law.
Should the Democratic leadership in Congress heed those words and launch an official impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump to hold him accountable and prove that he is not above the law?
