Marjorie Taylor Greene made her name off of promoting QAnon, which The New York Times describes as a right-wing conspiracy theory that promotes the idea that "Donald Trump is a messiah sent to defeat a cabal of Satan-worshiping, child-abusing, deep-state villains."6
And she's endorsed conspiracy theories claiming that 9/11 was an inside job and that the Sandy Hook shooting—where 26 elementary school children and teachers were massacred—was staged.7
And that's just scratching the surface. She suggested the 2018 midterms—when our nation's first two Muslim congresswomen were elected—were part of "an Islamic invasion of our government," and she thinks "Jewish space lasers" were responsible for a wildfire in California.8, 9 Seriously.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, her racism, hate, conspiracy theories, and slanderous attacks on the memories of murdered children have no place in Congress. But we know that, throughout our nation's history, white supremacists and far-right extremists too often go unchecked for the violence and terror they cause.
