NEW: Polls in Georgia are neck-and-neck

With only four weeks to go in the Georgia runoff elections that will decide control of the Senate, the newly updated FiveThirtyEight polling average has both races on a knife's edge.

Dear MoveOn member,

With only four weeks to go in the Georgia runoff elections that will decide control of the Senate, the newly updated FiveThirtyEight polling average has both races on a knife's edge.1

Jon Ossoff leads David Perdue by less than one percentage point, and Rev. Raphael Warnock leads Kelly Loeffler by just 2.2%.2 We are within striking distance of winning these races and flipping the Senate blue—but nothing is guaranteed, and just like November's general election, everything will be decided by turnout.

Which is why Donald Trump's campaign rally in Georgia this past weekend was so troubling. Despite losing re-election, Trump still has a massive, loyal following, and his personal involvement in the Georgia races will undoubtedly drive up enthusiasm among his far-right base. In fact, the AP calls Trump "the GOP's biggest turnout driver."3

We simply can't sit back as Trump gins up his base and drives up GOP turnout.

That's why MoveOn is mounting an ambitious television and radio ad campaign to energize the Democratic base and persuade independent voters. But we're not stopping there: We're also launching a bold effort to blanket crucially important parts of Atlanta with billboards to ensure that Georgia voters know how corrupt and cruel Loeffler and Perdue have been before they head to the polls.

With only 28 days left in the election and the races in a dead heat, will you chip in $5 a month to get TV ads on the air, put up billboards, keep them up to power Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to victory, and enable us to keep up the fight in 2021?

Yes, I'll chip in.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Thanks to the leadership of Black women, Black activists, and local organizers, the state of Georgia is transforming, voters are more engaged than ever, our democratic systems are being held accountable, and our hopes of turning Georgia blue in January are within reach. Mar, thanks to these organizers, we defeated Trump just weeks ago.

Now, we have to do it again.

If Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff both win, Democrats will flip the Senate and end Mitch McConnell's despicable reign as Senate majority leader. Which means that for the first time in a decade, Democrats will control the House, the Senate, and the presidency—giving us a rare but critical opportunity to enact bold, progressive legislation to tackle the climate crisis, rebuild our economy, address the pandemic head-on, advance racial justice, and much more.

But if we fail to win both Georgia Senate seats on January 5, President-elect Biden will be the first Democratic president since 1885 to take office with his party not in control of both chambers of Congress.4

That's why MoveOn is going all-in to win in Georgia. We have an ambitious plan to run a huge TV, radio, and billboard ad campaign to get out the vote.

But we need your help to fully bring these plans to life. Will you chip in $5 a month to help us get on the air, win in Georgia, flip the Senate blue, and head into 2021 strong and able to fight for progressive change with Joe Biden in the White House?

Yes, I'll chip in.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

We know both of these races are neck and neck. The polls are in a dead heat. And we know that these elections could be decided by only a handful of votes.

In races this close, every single ad, every single phone call, and every single dollar can make a world of difference.

Will you rush a $5 monthly donation to win in Georgia, flip the Senate, and fight for progressive change in 2021?

Yes, I'll chip in.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Thanks for all you do.

Need a new mask? You'll love this!

MoveOn has printed a batch of limited-edition face masks emblazoned with the message that "This Mask Saves Lives."

Dear MoveOn member,

COVID-19 cases in the United States continue to climb, and Donald Trump and his administration have all but abdicated doing anything to curb the pandemic. But there is hope.

Joe Biden's inauguration is just 45 days away, and he has made it clear that while Trump relied on pseudo-science, right-wing conspiracy theories, and denial, the Biden administration will be ready on day one to do whatever it takes to fight the pandemic and save lives.

We can all do our part to help, and that starts by wearing masks whenever we are around others. As President-elect Biden has said, wearing a mask "should be viewed as a patriotic duty to protect those around you."1 And Biden is already proposing an effort for all Americans to wear masks for the first 100 days of his presidency to curb the spread of COVID-19 during the dangerous winter and while vaccines start to be disseminated.

To help respond to President-elect Biden's call, and to do our part to protect our communities, MoveOn has printed a batch of limited-edition face masks emblazoned with the message that "This Mask Saves Lives."

Click here and chip in $20.20 to order yours now, while supplies last!

2020 has been a long, painful year, capping off a very long, very painful four years under the disastrous leadership of Trump and his cronies.

But as we head into 2021, we have a real shot at creating big, lasting change to push our country forward—and once and for all, we can leave Trump where he belongs: in the trash heap of history.

By chipping in $20.20 to MoveOn, you'll receive a limited-edition "This Mask Saves Lives" face mask, and your donation will be used to power the work to come under the Biden administration to help those most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, secure health care for every American, demand legislation to tackle the climate crisis, and much, much more.

Click here to get your "This Mask Saves Lives" limited-edition face mask now, before they're all gone!

Thanks for all you do.

Will you share this video?

Will Biden use this moment to make history?

Dear MoveOn member,

President-elect Biden needs a bold, ambitious agenda to meet the deep challenges of our time, and he'll need a strong, progressive, grassroots movement at his back to get it done. That's where we come in. It's time for us to demonstrate why bold, transformative policies are needed and to get the folks we elected to think big.

That was my argument in an op-ed in The Hill, a Capitol Hill publication, on the day that Congress returned from Thanksgiving recess this week. In it, I wrote this:

President Biden will need to do more than merely ask Congress to put forth a legislative agenda that addresses the crises currently devastating the nation. He will need to be prepared to deliver that agenda on his own, through executive action. Importantly, he will have both the mandate and the power to do so.

And bold solutions are not only urgently needed by Americans in dire straits, but they are smart politics. Solutions to the pandemic, expanded access to health care, clean-energy jobs, criminal justice reform, and other progressive approaches to governance don't just help people, they're also wildly popular. They are what the voters are demanding.

To ensure our message is heard loud and clear, MoveOn is also running a TV ad in the Washington, D.C., area this week, pushing President-elect Biden to go big. As Politico Playbook reported, this is part of a broader effort to urge the new administration to rise to the level to meet these historic crises. You can watch and share the video below:

Biden/Harris mandate ad

Right now, we're aiming these important messages directly to folks in D.C. because Biden's advisers—many of whom live and work in D.C. and listen to Washington's conventional wisdom—are considering what kind of administration he'll have, how transformative he'll seek to be, and what risks he can take.

MoveOn is made up of millions of progressives from all across the country. No matter where we live, we need to influence that conventional wisdom to demonstrate that all across the country, the voters who cast their ballot for him—as well as those Americans who didn't—are facing enormous challenges that require far more than business as usual.

Together, we can achieve big things, and we can't go back to the pre-Trump status quo. America has never worked for all of us, so this is our chance to rebuild by building power for the people instead of corporations and the wealthy.

Share this video on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to influence the national conversation and show that you're ready for transformational change.

Thanks for all you do.

–Rahna, Seth, Pulin, Robert, and the rest of the team

P.S. You can read my full op-ed in the Hill here.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Together, our diverse and vibrant coalition elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We have an opportunity to make progress, but only if we give it our all to call for bold progressive legislation to expand health care, solve the climate crisis, address systemic racism, and more. Will you chip in now to power our work?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

What Trump just announced …

With only five weeks to go in the Georgia Senate runoff elections and the races neck and neck, Donald Trump just announced he is personally heading down to Georgia this Saturday to campaign for Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue—two of his biggest bootlickers in the Senate.

Dear MoveOn member,

With fewer than five weeks to go in the Georgia Senate runoff elections and the races neck and neck, Donald Trump just announced he is personally heading down to Georgia this Saturday to campaign for Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue—two of his biggest bootlickers in the Senate.1

Despite losing re-election, Trump still has a massive, loyal following, and his personal involvement in the Georgia races will undoubtedly drive up turnout among his far-right base. In fact, the AP calls Trump "the GOP's biggest turnout driver."2 We know that the minute Trump arrives in Georgia, he will spread despicable lies about the Democratic candidates, Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

Which is why MoveOn is mounting an ambitious television and radio ad campaign to set the record straight and get the truth out to voters. But we're not stopping there: We're also launching a bold campaign to blanket the state with billboards to ensure that Georgia voters know how corrupt and cruel Loeffler and Perdue have been before they head to the polls.

With only 34 days left in the election and the races in a dead heat, will you chip in $5 a month right now to get our TV and radio ads on the air, put up billboards, keep them up to power Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to victory, and enable us to keep up the fight in 2021?

These billboards could bring down both Georgia GOP Senate candidates

These scandals are toxic to their races—if we get the information out. But not enough voters know about their corruption.

Dear MoveOn member,

The corruption scandals swirling around the GOP candidates for both of the Georgia Senate runoff races continue to deepen.

The news broke last week that the Justice Department, FBI, and Securities and Exchange Commission investigated Senator David Perdue this year for the sale of at least $1 million of stock in a financial firm whose board he previously sat on. The CEO sent Perdue an email two days before his stock sale that mentioned "upcoming changes" at the company. Weeks later, the CEO announced he was stepping down, and the company's stock price plummeted.1

Both Perdue and Senator Kelly Loeffler were also investigated earlier this year for insider trading at the outset of the coronavirus pandemic.2 Both dumped stocks and bought others in key sectors after receiving early, confidential briefings about the coronavirus. They lined their pockets with these stock sales while publicly downplaying the threat of the virus.

The last thing Perdue and Loeffler want is for their corruption and self-dealing to be front and center in Georgia's crucial Senate runoff races. It's their kryptonite.

And that's why, Mar, MoveOn is launching a major ad campaign to shine a spotlight on their corruption, including putting up billboards in the most highly trafficked areas of Atlanta.

Will you chip in $5 a month to erect billboards in high-traffic areas of Atlanta to help more Georgia voters learn about the corruption and self-dealing of the two GOP Senate candidates, keep them up through the election, and head into 2021 strong and able to fight for progressive change with Joe Biden in the White House?

Yes, I'll chip in.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

At a campaign stop in Georgia last month, President Barack Obama called Perdue and Loeffler the "dynamic duo of doing wrong."3

He said that the two senators "were publicly telling you that the virus would be no big deal, but behind closed doors, they were making a bunch of moves in the stock market to try to make sure their portfolios were protected instead of making sure you were protected. Man, that's shady. That ain't right. They downplayed the pandemic in public, and in private they're trying to see if they can profit from it. Both of them, not just one of them, both of them. They're like Batman and Robin gone bad."4

Perdue and Loeffler know how damaging these scandals could be to their races. Perdue backed out of his final general election debate after his Democratic challenger, Jon Ossoff, called him a crook in their second debate and the interaction went viral.5 Perdue continues to refuse to debate Ossoff.6 Loeffler is so worried that she went so far as to run an ad calling the Trump Justice Department investigation "fake news" and a "witch hunt" and claiming she'd "done nothing wrong."7

These scandals are toxic to their races—if we get the information out. But not enough voters know about their corruption.

That's why MoveOn is launching a major ad campaign on the GOP candidates' corruption that includes high-profile billboards—if we can raise the money. Billboards are a great way to reach Georgia voters, because people there spend so much time in the car or on mass transit. Drivers stuck in traffic are like a captive audience, and our billboards will drive home the winning message—if we can replenish our campaign funds in time to get them up and keep them up.

The polls are TIED in the races.8 We CAN win both races. But we need to get this information out.

We need your help. Will you chip in $5 a month to help put up billboards spotlighting the GOP candidates' corruption, keep them up to power Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to victory, and enable us to keep up the fight in 2021?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Together, we can win these runoff races, take the Senate gavel from Mitch McConnell, and get to work passing urgent legislation to respond to the coronavirus pandemic and build an America for all.

Thanks for all you do.

Free Ben & Jerry's ice cream for a whole year!

Seriously, Mar, this is a great way to protest Big Money in politics—especially during a pandemic. It's safe and socially distanced but still has a HUGE impact.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Ben and Jerry here—the ice cream guys.

The right-wing billionaire Sheldon Adelson just set the all-time record for donating the most money to politicians, plowing an astonishing $183,071,000 into the 2020 elections.1

You read that right: $183 million to elect Republicans.

Now, with the U.S. Senate up for grabs, we can be sure that Adelson and his right-wing billionaire buddies will spend whatever it takes to try to buy off the Senate races in Georgia and ensure that Mitch McConnell remains in charge of the Senate.

We absolutely can't let that happen!

Which is why we're partnering with MoveOn to protest Big Money in politics. We're asking you to join us in rubber-stamping bills with the message, "Stamp Money Out of Politics." It's totally legal, and every stamped bill becomes a mini billboard that is seen by an average of 875 people as it gets passed around.

Just click here, chip in $16 or more, and we'll send you your very own "Stamp Money Out of Politics" rubber stamp! The money will be used to help win in Georgia and flip the Senate, and you'll automatically be entered into a drawing to win free Ben & Jerry's ice cream for a year!

Wow! A free dollar decorator, a chance to fork over more bucks to MoveOn, AND a chance to win free ice cream for a year. Hard to resist!

Seriously, Mar, this is a great way to protest Big Money in politics—especially during a pandemic. It's safe and socially distanced but still has a HUGE impact.

These mini billboards stay in circulation for 2.5 years, and each bill is viewed by nearly 1,000 people.

And when you chip in, you're not just getting a self-inking "Stamp Money Out of Politics" rubber stamp in return, you're also fueling MoveOn's efforts to win in Georgia and end Mitch McConnell's reign as Senate majority leader, so that in 2021 we can make real progress on everything from voting rights to climate change.

Oh, and you'll also be entered into a drawing to win free Ben & Jerry's ice cream for a year!

More than 100,000 MoveOn members have joined our protest and stamped millions of bills. Will you join us?

Click here and chip in $16 or more to get your "Stamp Money Out of Politics" rubber stamp and be entered into the drawing to win free Ben & Jerry's ice cream for a year!

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work without ordering a stamp? Mitch McConnell is refusing to even acknowledge Joe Biden's victory, and as long as he remains Senate majority leader, he has the power to stop everything, from Cabinet nominations to legislation, in its tracks. It doesn't have to be this way, and it won't be … IF we win the two Georgia Senate runoff elections on January 5. We can win these seats and flip the Senate blue, but we urgently need your help.

Will you chip in to win in Georgia, flip the Senate, and fight for progressive change in 2021?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.
