This was Speaker of the House John Boehner's heartless response to a new report showing that the Republican budget proposal would cost our country 1 million jobs.¹ 

His response was a slap in the face to the workers who would lose their jobs, and this reckless proposal could send us into an even deeper recession.  

We have to speak out against the Republicans' job-killing, economy-ruining budget proposal.  

That's why we're organizing Invest in America speak-outs next Thursday, February 24. We must tell Congress: We need a budget that invests in our communities—not a budget that cuts jobs and vital programs like low-income heating assistance and food assistance for pregnant women and their children.
