Dear MoveOn member,

In the next six days, we'll find out if Republicans are willing to force America into default for the first time in our history—if they're willing to cut off paychecks to soldiers and Social Security checks to seniors.

We're in the homestretch of this fight and we can't let up. We have to hold Republicans accountable for their hostage-taking and make sure Democrats stand firm against them.

In just the last week, MoveOn members have flooded Congress with more than 50,000 phone calls, organized rallies at more than 800 congressional offices, and targeted big Republican donors. 

This week, we're working around the clock and trying everything we can think of. We're recording ads targeting the swing votes who will decide this battle, holding a critical rally on Capitol Hill with progressive members of Congress, and making sure Americans never forget who caused this crisis and why.
