Dear MoveOn member,
John Schnatter, CEO of Papa John's, is threatening to reduce worker's hours to 30 hours per week in order to avoid covering them under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
He claims it will cost an additional 11 to 14 cents per pizza to cover his employees, a cost he says he cannot absorb or pass along to customers. So he plans to make his employees absorb the cost through reduced hours and reduced pay.
That's why I created a petition on SignOn.org to Papa John's CEO John Schnatter, which says:
Stop punishing your employees. If you can afford to give away 2 million pizzas, you can find a way to afford 14 cents a pizza to cover your employees.
Thanks!
