Where: Park Avenue beginning from 68th Street  (in New York) When: Saturday, August 19, 11:00 AM What:  Members of Congress are home, and they need to hear from you! Both houses of Congress are home for August recess. This is an opportunity for all of us to make ourselves heard in our home states. Throughout August, we'll be taking action at town halls, protests, and other events as part of Resistance Recess. Following the violence by white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia, this past weekend, we have seen tens of thousands of Americans participating in rallies and vigils all over the country. Over the next few weeks, we'll build upon this momentum and continue to make sure that senators and representatives remember that they work for us! We'll call on them to take action against white supremacy, fight for Medicare for All, defend voting rights and civil rights for all Americans, and push for tax and budget priorities that work for regular Americans, not just the 1%—and much more. There are hundreds of actions already scheduled to take place across the United States between now and September 4. Will you join us at this event or find other ways to make your voice heard during this congressional recess?
