Re: I'm going to bat for MoveOn

Hi there—I wanted to make sure you saw my recent note. Thanks

What happens in November will affect a generation. That's my definition of high-stakes, and it's why I'm going to bat for MoveOn's far-reaching plan to save the Senate. Believe me. When we fight, we win. Join me!

Chip in $3

Dear MoveOn member,

I'm counting on MoveOn members like you to help save the Senate on Election Day. In fact, it's my top priority from now until November 4.

The only way to level the playing field for all Americans is to fight and to fight hard. And right now, the place we need to fight is clear: the Senate.

Will you stand with me in supporting MoveOn's work to save the Senate in November?

Yes! Senator Warren, I'll contribute $3.

The powerful interests—and their armies of lawyers and lobbyists—swagger through the halls of Congress like they own the place. They think we don't see them trying to tip the scales in favor of the big guys who have already made it. They think they can throw buckets of money at their Republican allies to win back control of the Senate in November.

But not if MoveOn members and I have anything to say about it.

Take a look at some of the creative ways MoveOn's team will use your donation and the power of its 8 million members, all of whom are committed to saving the Senate from a GOP takeover in November:

  • MoveOn's staff will train and coach hundreds of volunteer bird-doggers on the ground in key states like Iowa and Colorado to ask politicians about their votes against the working people they represent.
  • They'll launch a high-visibility media and social media campaign, complete with targeted ad buys that pack a punch, to take down tainted GOP candidates and elevate progressive champions.
  • MoveOn team members in new field offices coast to coast will inspire and mobilize an informed and passionate progressive base to get to the polls on Election Day.

Can you chip in right now to fund MoveOn's campaign to save the Senate?

I'm in for $3 to save the Senate.

This isn't the first time I've asked for your support. Millions of MoveOn members were central in our fight for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to protect consumers from the tricks and traps hidden in the fine print of credit cards, mortgages, and student loans.

I bet you remember that many thought we'd cave under pressure from the big banks, which spent more than $1 million a day lobbying against the new consumer agency. The skeptics were wrong. Thanks to you, the CFPB is now celebrating its third anniversary! In the last three years, that agency has forced the big financial institutions to return more than $4 billion to the American consumers they cheated—and so much more.1

I'd say it's time for another victory for working families. Don't you agree? Let's go get it. Together.

Chip in to save the Senate so we can continue fighting.

Thanks for all you do.

–Senator Elizabeth Warren
