Here's what we'll cover on Sunday!
Former FBI Director James Comey just made the clearest case yet that Donald Trump abused the power of his office in a failed attempt to stop an ongoing criminal investigation into Russia's well-known interference in the November election.1
MoveOn and our allies are holding an important strategy conversation this Sunday to discuss the renewed push to get the truth about Trump and defend the Constitution and rule of law in the process.
But that's not all. Amid all the Trump-related turmoil, Republicans are closer than ever before to passing Trumpcare, siding with Trump's agenda over the health and well-being of their own constituents,2 so we'll discuss what we can do in the next few critical weeks to stop them.
The Ready to Resist call is Sunday, June 11, at 8p.m. ET (7 CT/6 MT/5 PT).

This Sunday's call is jam-packed full of amazing speakers to help make sense of our current situation and show the path forward for action:
- Noah Bookbinder, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and a former federal corruption prosecutor, will speak to the very latest developments in the pursuit of the truth about Trump, from demanding an independent commission and tracking the work of Special Counsel Mueller to a new lawsuit taking on Trump's conflicts of interest.
- Margrete Strand Rangnes, executive vice president at Public Citizen, will explore the actions we can all take to push Congress to initiate the public interest investigations we need in order to get the truth about Trump.
- Ben Wikler, Washington director for MoveOn, will share the latest on Republican efforts to pass a new, secret Trumpcare bill, and he'll share the game plan for defeating it before they rush it through the Senate.
- Mary Moreno, communications director with the Texas Organizing Project, and Jose Garza, executive director of the Workers Defense Project, will share their story of fighting state efforts to undermine sanctuary cities and discuss how we can all take action at home.
- Lindsay Farrell, director of the Connecticut Working Families Party will share how the Millions of Jobs coalition is pushing a progressive alternative to Trump's looming infrastructure scam.
- Anna Galland, executive director of MoveOn Civic Action, will host the conversation.
If it wasn't clear before, the past few weeks have shown that we are in the middle of a struggle for the soul of our country. Allegations that the President of the United States illegally intervened in an ongoing criminal investigation were substantiated under oath yesterday by Comey, leading MoveOn to make our first-ever call to impeach a president.
Republicans and Democrats alike should be willing to put country before party for the better of us all, even if that means impeaching Trump. Instead, the Republican Congress is carrying water for Trump, in exchange for a shot to pass their radical agenda.
- House Republicans are blocking legitimate efforts to investigate Trump's potential wrongdoing at every move.
- Republicans cheered when Trump pulled the U.S. out of the historic Paris Agreement on climate change.
- News reports say they're closer than ever before to repealing the Affordable Care Act.
- Republican members of Congress spent their in-state work session hiding from their constituents, refusing to announce any town hall meetings.
We've got to come together and stand up to Trump and his Republican cover squad. And we're doing just that. This week, MoveOn joined with 18 national partners to deliver signatures representing four million Americans who have demanded the truth about Trump from investigators, the IRS, and Congress just as news emerged that forcing Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from the Russia investigation is still sending shockwaves through the administration.3 Our collective actions are shaping history. We've got to keep it up.
The next weeks will be critical to confronting the Trumpcare bill, and to setting the stage for the longer fight for thorough investigations and ultimately impeachment. With so much moving, it can be hard to know what actions to take. That's where this call can help.
