Sign the petition: Stop this wife and mother from being deported

Alejandra Juarez is a military wife who is now being deported to Mexico.

Dear MoveOn member,

Alejandra Juarez has lived in the United States for more than 20 years. Her husband has served in the Marines and the National Guard, and she has two American daughters. But thanks to documents she was deceived into signing when she was still a teenager, she is scheduled for deportation.1

Will you join me in calling for Alejandra to be allowed to stay in the United States?

Allow Alejandra Juarez, wife and mother, to stay in the United States with her family.

Alejandra came to the United States in 1998 to escape violence in Mexico. When she first entered the U.S., she was caught and forced to sign documents relinquishing all rights to future U.S. citizenship in exchange for her freedom—even though she was a teenager and didn't understand English.

Since then, she has learned English, married a United States Marine, raised their first daughter alone for two years while he served in Iraq, and continued to raise two daughter who are both U.S. citizens. She is a valued member of her church where she assists with its ministry to feed the poor.

Will you join me in calling for Alejandra to be allowed to stay in the United States?

Alejandra is scheduled to be deported June 21. Her deportation will cause great harm to her children, who were not even born when she came to the United States. Her oldest daughter Pamela wants to become a doctor and now faces the likelihood that she will graduate high school and start college without her mother, who has always been her biggest supporter, at her side. Pamela recently started working to save up money so that she can visit Alejandra in Mexico. Alejandra's youngest daughter, Estela, is too young to be without her mother, so Alejandra's deportation will essentially deport her as well, even though she is a U.S. citizen, doesn't speak Spanish, and this country is the only home she has ever known.

Please allow Alejandra to stay in the United States with her children.
