We need a volunteer in the New York area

Dear MoveOn member,

Can you organize a rally next Thursday to support the public health insurance option?

These rallies are happening all around the country—right as the Senate is unveiling competing health care proposals: one with a public health insurance option that could help cover all of us and save a ton of money—and one that has no public option yet.

But there's still no rally at Senator Charles Schumer's office in New York.

You've already signed our petition to support the public option.  Can you take the next step and sign up to host a rally?

Local actions like these are a powerful way to let our senators know where people in their home states stand. We'll share stories from local small-business owners and medical professionals about the importance of the public option. And you can host this rally at an office close to your own home:

Office of Senator Charles Schumer
757 Third Avenue, Suite 313
New York, New York 10017

Hosting a rally is simple. All you have to do is pick a time and follow our step-by-step guide. We'll invite MoveOn members from your area to the event and give you all the materials you'll need to deliver the most persuasive message directly to our senators and the media.

Thanks for all you do,

–Patrick S., Lenore, Peter, Ilya and the rest of the team
