I'm writing from our Election Headquarters with an urgent Election Day update. I just got the morning numbers on our volunteer recruitment program in our 59 target races, and I wanted to share the good news.
The charts look great: Over the past four days, we recruited more volunteers in swing districts than we did the previous two weeks—combined. At our peak, we were signing up one new MoveOn member to volunteer every seven seconds. But we can't stop now—click here to recruit more volunteers.
This is exactly the sort of surge we were hoping to see in the final hours, and it's exactly what the Democrats need to win close races across the country.
But I'll be blunt: Though the national numbers look good, we're still short in a number of the most important races that will decide control of Congress.
This is Election Day. We've got to make up this gap in the next couple hours or Democrats in these key races won't have the volunteers they need to reach all their target voters. Please, do your part—click here to call MoveOn members in key races and sign them up to volunteer:
Thanks for all you do.

P.S. Don't watch the election on ABC! They've lined up known liar and race-baiter Andrew Breitbart to do Election Night commentary. Remember him? He got African American USDA employee Shirley Sherrod fired with his highly edited video appearing to show her giving a racist speech—when the full video showed the opposite. Viewers depend on news for facts—Breitbart lies. Watch anyone but ABC on Election Night!
Want to support our work? We're entirely funded by our 5 million members—no corporate contributions, no big checks from CEOs. And our tiny staff ensures that small contributions go a long way. Chip in here.
