Dear MoveOn member,

Powerful organizing is long-term organizing.

Progress has never been easy. The election results were surely disappointing. But to win the changes we need in our country, we're going to have to keep working together for the long-term.

MoveOn Councils are groups of members who organize together not just during elections, but all the time. Councils hold actions like rallies and vigils, they meet regularly with their members of Congress, and also hold fun and social events like this past weekend's Potlucks for Progress.

MoveOn Councils are already hard at work planning to lead the way in the major fights aheadand to be a strong, independent voice to keep Congress and the president honest when lobbyists and corporations stand in the way of progress.

Since you came to a call party during the election season, you already know how much fun it is to take action as a group. MoveOn Councils are a great way to continue to build a progressive community where you live and socialize with like-minded folks while making an impact.
