Thank Rep. Meeks for being a champion for diplomacy

Dear MoveOn member,

As you know by now, the grassroots movement for peace beat the war hawks this week. As of last night, time has run out for Republicans to sabotage the nuclear agreement with Iran.¹ This was the result of an incredible mobilization of regular folks in local communities across the country, who pressured Democrats to stand strong for diplomacy, not war. Representative Gregory Meeks was one of the members of Congress who cast a brave, smart vote in this fight.

Now, many pro-diplomacy Democrats are feeling severe backlash from the well-funded opponents of diplomacy, who have been pouring money into attack ads and, in some cases, threatening to support opponents in upcoming primaries.  

We have no problem calling out Democrats when they do something bad, but let's also make sure to thank them when they stand for true progressive principles. 

Can you drop by the office of Rep. Meeks on Monday, September 21, to say thank you?
