Bernie’s political revolution (let’s bring it to Congress!)

Imagine a political revolution large enough and powerful enough to take this country back from the billionaire class.

Dear MoveOn member,

Bernie Sanders has the audacity to dream big—to fight for a country where “nobody who works 40 hours a week lives in poverty, health care is a right for all Americans, kids of all backgrounds can go to college without crushing debt, there is no bank too big to fail, no banker too powerful to jail, and we've reclaimed our democracy from the billionaire class.”

Imagine that. It’s a political revolution—one large enough and powerful enough to take this country back from the billionaire class.

But here’s the thing: No matter who wins the White House this November, no one person can build the movement we need to succeed. We need millions of Americans to do it. And we also need progressive champions in Congress.

Will you help fuel the political revolution by chipping in $2.70 to elect three MoveOn-endorsed progressive congressional candidates: Lucy Flores, Pramila Jayapal, and Zephyr Teachout? The deadline is midnight TONIGHT, so your support is needed now.

Click here to grow Bernie's political revolution by supporting these three candidates before the midnight FEC filing deadline.

From pioneering small-dollar grassroots fundraising on Howard Dean's presidential campaign, challenging New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and working to get big money out of politics, Zephyr Teachout has been a lifelong champion of fixing our broken, money-driven political system.

After coming to the United States from India at age 16, Pramila Jayapal has become a Seattle assemblywoman who represents one of the nation’s most racially and economically diverse districts. Jayapal has helped pass both the $15 minimum wage and paid sick days in Seattle, and she spent two decades as a leading civil rights activist, defending the rights of Muslims and Arabs after 9/11.

The 34-year-old daughter of Mexican immigrants, Lucy Flores is the first Latina assemblywoman in Nevada. After a tough childhood growing up in a family of 13 children, Flores got her GED and went on to pass legislation to protect consumers from predatory practices and shield victims of domestic violence from abusers. Today she’s running for Congress in Nevada’s 4th District.

These three candidates need our help to face down corporate Democrats in their primaries and win tough general elections. And we'll need their help to face down corporate Democrats and right-wing Republicans in the House of Representatives.

With a midnight FEC deadline, now is the time to show momentum.

Click here to chip in $2.70 before midnight tonight, and help build Bernie's political revolution from the bottom up.

Bernie’s political revolution relies on millions of volunteers and supporters—ordinary Americans chipping in what they can—with an average donation of just $27. But if our movement supports only Bernie, we’re missing the point. It’s not about him; it’s about us. Together.

Like Bernie Sanders, these three candidates are ready to fight for the revolutionary ideas America needs.

Like Bernie Sanders, these candidates stand up to Wall Street and big money—and fight for the little guy (and gal).

Like Bernie Sanders, these progressive champs can get elected only if huge numbers of us contribute small money.

And with a midnight FEC deadline, now is the time to show momentum.

Will you chip in $2.70 and help make sure this slate of Bernie Sanders-style political revolutionaries makes it to Congress?

Click here by midnight, if you can.

The leader of the next political revolution won’t just appear from nowhere. She needs your support now, today.

So think of your donation as an investment in the long-term health of the progressive movement. Each progressive we elect helps get us closer to that bold vision that Bernie Sanders outlined. We won’t get there overnight. But with your help, we will change America.

Thanks for all you do.
