Huge news: Tonight, in the biggest electoral test for our movement since the 2016 election, we won BIG!

Dear MoveOn Member,

Huge news: Tonight, in the biggest electoral test for our movement since the 2016 election, we won BIG!

Democrats in Virginia just trounced the GOP in races for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general, and picked up state delegate seats across the state (and maybe even flipped the state legislature).1 It's an unequivocal and overwhelming rebuke of the far right—of Donald Trump, the NRA, and the politics of hateful race-baiting.

This is an unmistakeable sign: When the Resistance marches to the polls, we win.

A U.S. Senate seat is up for grabs in Alabama next month, and todays victories give us huge momentum going into that fight.

We could be in for a national wave election in 2018, and even end Republican control of the House—if we do the work. We're preparing to go all-in to keep winning this year and to take back the House in 2018—but to do it, we have to get started right now. Democrats have a 9-point lead in today’s RealClearPolitics average of polls, that includes polls by ABC, NBC, Reuters, and even FOX News.2

Can you chip in $3 to help us keep winning this year, end GOP control of the House in 2018, and build a firewall against Trump?

Watching so many MoveOn member-endorsed candidates win tonight in such a huge wave gives me hope. Of course, we can’t ignore the dire threats that we're still facing. Immigrant and Muslim communities are being explicitly targeted. The GOP tax scam would give 2 trillion dollars in tax giveaways to corporations and the wealthy—on the backs of working people. 800,000 Dreamers may face deportation in the coming months. Republicans are doing everything they can to derail Robert Mueller’s investigation. And Trump is playing chicken with North Korea, inciting a nuclear war.

These are existential threats to our lives and democracy, but we have just proven that when we resist Trump and the GOP—and join together, with a vision for the country that we must build together—we can win. Now, we have to keep resisting every day and prepare to take back power in 2018.

Can you chip in $3 to help us keep resisting and winning?

Yes, I'll chip in.

Remember how you felt on November 8, 2016? Now compare that to how tonight feels!

And then imagine how you'll feel after we win a massive campaign to take back the House in 2018. With your help, we will work across the country to elect leaders who will fight for real progressive change, stop Republican efforts to pass Trumpcare and give away billions of dollars to the richest Americans, take on the NRA, and ensure that investigations into Donald Trump and his administration are strengthened.

But to keep resisting Trump and the GOP at every turn and take back power, we need your support. Tonight we saw the results of MoveOn members endorsing real progressive candidates, getting out the vote—and winning. Now, let's take the next step.

Click here to chip in $3—or whatever you can afford—and help power the Resistance to victory in 2018.

Thanks for all you do.

And to do it we need your support, now more than ever. Will you stand with us?
