RSVP: Honor RBG with Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, Elizabeth Warren, and more

You're invited to an all-star event to honor the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and join in the work to restore our democracy.

Dear MoveOn member,

You're invited to an all-star event to honor the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and join the work to restore our democracy.

As the Senate Judiciary Committee begins confirmation hearings tomorrow to fill Justice Ginsburg's seat, we must channel her unstoppable determination as we call on our senators to honor her dying wish that there be no confirmation until inauguration.

RSVP now to join us tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT for the virtual "Honor Her Wish" tribute.

The virtual "Honor Her Wish" tribute and celebration, hosted by MoveOn and our friends at Demand Justice, will take place tomorrow, October 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT, and will feature an amazing lineup of leading voices in politics, music, entertainment, and those who knew RBG best to honor her legacy and continue the fight she left us.

Guests include Hillary Clinton and leading voices in culture and politics, including appearances by Nancy Pelosi, Stacey Abrams, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Ayanna Pressley, Jennifer Carroll Foy, Chelsea Clinton, Shana Knizhnik, Sam Bagenstos and Margo Schlanger, Jon Batiste, Phoebe Bridgers, Sophia Bush, Kathleen Hanna, Kesha, Resistance Revival Chorus, Aminatou Sow, Michael Stipe, Hayley Williams, Rosario Dawson, and more.

In an effort to jam through a Supreme Court nomination even as millions of votes have already been cast in this election, Donald Trump and Senate Republicans held a celebration in the White House Rose Garden on Saturday, September 26, to announce Amy Coney Barrett as their ultraconservative pick to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.1

With the proliferation of COVID-19 cases among attendees, we now know that this was likely a coronavirus super-spreader event.2 Among the attendees who have tested positive are two Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee responsible for conducting Supreme Court justice nomination hearings.3 And yet because they're in a race to seat Justice Ginsburg's replacement before the Supreme Court hears arguments in November in Trump's latest attempt to overturn the Affordable Care Act,4 Senate Republicans have yet to come up with a plan to adhere to CDC-recommended coronavirus protocols for testing, contact tracing, and quarantining before holding an in-person vote for Coney Barrett.

Thanks for all you do.
–Jenn, Chris, Casey, Rahna, and the rest of the team
