Thousands of people took part! How was your #ResistanceRecess event?

Dear Eddie,

Thank you for attending a #ResistanceRecess event!

During the month-long congressional recess in August, MoveOn members, mobilizers, and allies showed up at congressional town halls and lawmakers' offices across the United States for the third time this year with over 650 events happening between July 28-September 4 from Alaska, to Maine, to Arizona, to Florida.

We were there to:

• demand that Congress censure Trump for failing to unequivocally denounce white supremacy after the Charlottesville, Virginia,  terror attack,
• stand up to Republican attacks on immigrant youth by demanding a clean Dream Act,
• advance Medicare for All, and
• hold accountable Republicans who voted to take away health care from millions.

And in districts where members of Congress were nowhere to be found, MoveOn members held our own constituent town halls.
