Let me get straight to the point: Right now there are just 9 days left until the election, and we haven't raised all the funds we need for our big election plan.
That means that instead of focusing 100% on how we can stop the Republicans from taking over Congress, we're still spending time figuring out how to bring in additional resources.

Back in September when we announced this plan and you made your pledge, we knew this election would be close. But in these final few days, things have really tightened: There are still lots of House races that MoveOn members can swing, and we're especially focused on the Senate, where pretty much every competitive race is closer now than it was two weeks ago. We've got a hugely ambitious campaign for the final push:
- Making 500,000 phone calls into key states and congressional districts. We made over 80,000 phone calls last week!
- Recruiting a massive wave of grassroots volunteers to help get out the vote for candidates from coast to coast.
- Defending our Progressive Heroes—going all out to save Sen. Russ Feingold, Sen. Barbara Boxer, Rep. Alan Grayson, Alexi Giannoulias, and Rep. Tom Perriello.
- Exposing the corporate money behind the Republicans by airing hard-hitting ads and organizing local MoveOn members to show up at all their campaign events. We've already gotten great coverage in communities from Pasadena, CA, to Harrisburg, PA.
