Sen. Al Franken will be at our party tomorrow

Dear MoveOn member,

I'm the host of our "Yes We Can!" party, and I can't wait for you to join me tomorrow to help stop the Republican takeover of Congress. 

I also have some exciting news: We're going to kick off our party with a special video message from Senator Al Franken! Senator Franken knows all about close elections and the importance of voter turnout—he won in 2008 by 312 votes. At our party, we'll call MoveOn members who live in an area where the race could also come down to just 312 votes. Every volunteer we recruit helps level the playing field for Democrats against corporate front-groups spending millions to buy the election—that's why I'm counting on you to be there tomorrow.

Directions: Grand Central Parkway to 188Street, exit 19. Proceed north on 188 Street to Radnor Road. Turn onto Radnor Road, down the hill to the STOP sign. We are the second house on the right after the STOP sign.

Some final reminders before you come over:

• Bring your cell phone and charger. We're making calls to other MoveOn members. I'll take care of printing materials. Your biggest responsibility is bringing yourself and a cell phone if you have one. (If you don't have one, let me know so I can help find an extra one for you.) Bring your phone charger in case your battery gets low, and bring an extra phone if you can.
