Red alert: The Senate is holding hearings TODAY on Donald Trump's far-right-wing Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. And your senator, Chuck Schumer, could play a critical role in stopping him from a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.
Senator Schumer is the leader of the Democrats in the Senate—and though he has said that he plans to vote against Kavanaugh, he isn't doing everything in his power to whip his caucus and hold every Democrat in line against Kavanaugh.1
He held his caucus together to protect our health care—and he must hold it together now. Letting even one Democrat support Kavanaugh could ensure Kavanaugh's confirmation—and confirming him is an attack on health care, workers rights, reproductive rights, and so much more that Democrats fight for. Will you call Sen. Schumer and demand that he do everything possible in his role as Senate Minority Leader to ensure that ALL Senate Democrats vote against Kavanaugh?

If Kavanaugh makes it onto the Supreme Court, he could deal a fatal blow to abortion rights, causing harm to women and families for decades.
He has a record of saying that he thinks that a sitting president should not be subject to criminal investigation and could give Trump a get-out-of-jail-free card.
And 1 million documents relating to Kavanaugh's judicial record haven't even been released by the National Archives—with 100,000 more withheld by a White House, claiming executive privilege.2
Any one of those reasons—and at least a dozen others—should be enough to doom his nomination. But the Republican leadership just doesn't care. Mitch McConnell, Trump, and their cronies know that the stakes are high and stacking the court is their top priority.
So we can't rely on these damning facts to stop Kavanaugh's nomination; we have to rely on constituent outcry. It was us, the constituents, who stopped the repeal of the Affordable Care Act—again, and again, and again. And it's constituents—all of us coming together—who need to now raise the national clamor and increase pressure nationwide, so that every senator does all in his or her power to stop Kavanaugh and knows that they'll face consequences back home if they do not.
