The United States is rushing headlong into another open-ended war in the Middle East. We've got to tap on the brakes and make sure we have our facts straight. Can you call Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand, and Rep. Meeks right now? Tell them: "Before the United States even considers committing to another open-ended war in the Middle East, we need answers to tough questions. Congress must debate and be held accountable for the United States' next steps in Syria and Iraq—so we don't make the same mistakes we've made in the past."
Senator Charles Schumer
That's why, over the last few days, MoveOn members have submitted and ranked thousands of questions that must be asked, debated, and answered before the U.S. even considers expanding military operations in Syria and Iraq.
Today, as Congress considers appropriating funds to arm and train Syrian rebels, we've joined with more than two dozen allied organizations to say "America Must Know" the answers to these questions.
As part of this national day of action, we're running a full-page ad in the DC insider paper Politico, and sharing top questions with members of Congress, the media, and the White House.
Congress must engage in a transparent, fact-based debate prior to any expanded U.S. military intervention in the Middle East. It's critical that lawmakers know their constituents' key concerns and questions right now.

Your calls today are essential because this week, in addition to considering funding Syrian rebels, House and Senate members are holding hearings with folks like Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State John Kerry, and General Martin Dempsey.
Make no mistake. This is a rush to war. And today—together—we're saying, "Stop. Tell us how this ends."
We must make sure lawmakers know we're listening for our questions to be asked and answered—for our concerns to be aired and deliberated.
MoveOn members know the costs are simply too high to get this wrong.
Thanks for all you do.
