This is really exciting. As the country increasingly shifts its attention to the 2018 elections—and as MoveOn members are doing all they can to build a wave that ends Republican control of the House of Representatives and sweeps inspiring progressive candidates into state and local offices nationwide—MoveOn is launching a new website, digital toolset, and brand-new logo. To help celebrate this milestone, we've printed a batch of stickers with our new logo, and we're giving them away for free to MoveOn members like you!
One big intention of our updated website and new logo is to help showcase our people power. Our new logo is made up of three squares inspired by the signs that MoveOn members have been carrying—at both protests and victory rallies—for more than twenty years. And the logo moves upward and onward, just like our movement.
We have been eagerly anticipating sharing this with you—and the day is finally here! Want to help show that MoveOn members are everywhere as we head into this year's crucial midterm elections?
MoveOn has been a pioneer at the intersection of politics and digital activism since our inception in 1998. We were the first organization to engage in the use of large-scale online petitions, email organizing, digital grassroots fundraising, distributed events, and online call tools, repeatedly giving our members new tools to leverage the connective power of the internet to achieve political change. More recently, we have launched our peer-to-peer text messaging tool, Spoke, as well as a Video Lab that's produced progressive, organic video content reaching nearly half a billion views in less than two years.
Using technology in smart ways has been a key part of how we make change. The launch of an updated website and set of tech tools—tied to our undertaking the biggest midterm campaign in our history—is another exciting step in our movement's history.
