Stop the merger of Sinclair Broadcast Group with Tribune Media. If approved, the purchase of Tribune Media's 42 stations would enable Sinclair Broadcast Group to reach 72 percent of U.S. households—significantly more than the nationwide audience cap of 39 percent, as determined by Congress.¹

If you've seen the viral video going around social media, you know how dangerous Sinclair Broadcast Group is to an independent, well-informed public.² I'm Jon Beard, a MoveOn member in Jacksonville, Florida, and I started a petition to the Federal Communications Commission, which says:

I live in an area where four stations will be controlled by Sinclair, which is already requiring stations to be less independent, by running "required segments" with a conservative, Pro-Trump view.
