This must be said: Donald Trump and his Republican enablers want to take over our nation's highest court, with Brett Kavanaugh as their guy to do it. And we've got to stop them.

As the nation slept Wednesday night, the White House announced that the FBI has completed its investigation into sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh. But the FBI was instructed to do a limited investigation, and agents were not allowed to interview dozens of people who could provide additional information, including Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford themselves.
The report has now been delivered to the Senate, where Mitch McConnell is only allowing senators to view it in a secure location. He also refuses to release the findings—and what little information they might offer—to the public. Before the investigation was even complete, McConnell began the process for a vote on Kavanaugh.
If this isn't a sham investigation, I don't know what is. In less than a week, Trump, McConnell, and Kavanaugh have managed to make a mockery of the Senate, the FBI, and the Supreme Court. Beyond that, this charade is an insult to the women of America.
It's clear that the GOP will stop at nothing to secure Kavanaugh's confirmation, despite the mounting charges of Kavanaugh's sexual abuse and misconduct.
You and I both know that we have to win this fight—the fight for the Supreme Court, the outcome of which will affect us and future generations.
To win this fight, we've got to stay involved. And one of the best ways to stay involved? Supporting MoveOn's work to block Kavanaugh's confirmation and make sure that an accused sexual predator and right-wing anti-woman, anti-LGBTQ partisan doesn't become the deciding vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

I've worked with MoveOn on various projects over many years, and I can tell you honestly: Right now, MoveOn is stretched to its limits. It doubled its staff size to run one of the biggest and most effective operations in the nation to end Republican control of Congress in this November's midterm elections. And having to now take on Kavanaugh? Well, MoveOn has very little slack—money, staff, resources—left.
And yet—as always—when the moment demands it, MoveOn's staff and members rise to the challenge. Everyone's working around the clock to stop Kavanaugh, defend special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, AND end Republican control of Congress—and doing all of it with MoveOn's signature smarts, grit, and grace.
Thanks to the relentless persistence of MoveOn members and critical allies over the past two and a half months, what once looked like a possible quick victory for Trump and the right wing has turned into a prolonged fight.
We really can win this, but only if we keep going. Which is why I'm asking:

- Support direct actions in Washington, D.C., at Senate office buildings, including busing in constituents from key states.
- Escalate pressure on key senators, especially Susan Collins. Collins is the key swing vote in this process, and MoveOn is continuing to lift up stories from her constituents, support direct actions in Maine, and purchase ads in her state calling for her to stand with survivors, defend reproductive rights, and stop Kavanaugh.
- Hold Republicans accountable. We will not forget their party's actions at last week's hearing, their unwavering support for Kavanaugh, and their attempts to discredit Dr. Blasey Ford and others when we head to the ballot box in five weeks. Ending GOP control of Congress and electing people who believe survivors. We will end GOP control of Congress and elect people who believe survivors and listen to women—because the fight for our fundamental rights is essential.
