The late Congressman John Lewis dedicated his life to fighting for civil rights, including expanding and protecting the right to vote, from his early days as one of the original Freedom Riders and leader of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee to his final days fighting for us in Congress. 

But, now, following Donald Trump's Big Lie of a stolen election, right-wing lawmakers across the country have introduced more than 250 bills designed to make it more difficult for Black people, people of color, and young people to vote.¹

Mar, we are learning that conservative groups are dumping more than $10 million into an effort to kill the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.²

These two landmark federal bills would reform our democracy and secure the right to vote for millions of voters of color and young voters, which is why MoveOn is campaigning hard to build the support needed to pass these bills through the Senate.
