Inwood needs you

Join Recovery Recess to demand that Congress deliver green jobs, care jobs, justice, green infrastructure, climate solutions, real democracy, and honor Indigenous tribal sovereignty.

Dear MoveOn member,

Members of Congress are heading home for spring recess, and this is the critical time for them to hear from us, the people they represent!

MoveOn and our partners are launching "Recovery Recess"—a national push to use the first congressional recess of the Biden Administration to celebrate the American Rescue Plan, hold accountable those who voted against it, and push for even bolder action ahead to invest in our recovery. But to do this, we need your help. Would you pledge to host or attend an event in your area demanding that Congress deliver green jobs, care jobs, justice, green infrastructure, climate solutions, real democracy, and honor Indigenous tribal sovereignty?

Pledge to join or host an in-person or online event near you to take action over recess—and we'll keep you updated as events are added to the map.

Get creative! The possibilities of events to get people in your community together to send a message to Congress are endless. Host a socially-distanced block party to align your community on the issues that matter, get fellow MoveOn members together to paint a mural, or find other ways to show up together to demonstrate what's at stake, how the COVID relief bill is helping us, and why we need the next recovery stimulus to go even further.

Socially-distanced events will take place outdoors, in person throughout the recess, along with online events, March 29-April 11, including the "Time to Thrive" day of action with events across the country on Wednesday, March 31, organized by the Green New Deal Network. Be a part of the change.

Sign the pledge page now to let us know you'll host or join an event near you—and we'll keep you up to date as hundreds of events are added to the map throughout the recess.

Please remember that we are still in a pandemic, and your health—and that of those around you—is very important. If you are part of an at-risk group, please do not attend an in-person event. If you do attend, please wear a mask, bring plenty of hand sanitizer, and remain at least six feet away from others.

MoveOn is here to support you with a host and attendee guide, a host prep call, and tools you need for a local event. Thank you for being a leader in your community and coming together to advocate for big, bold action!

Thanks for all you do.
