Spread the news: Warren wins in Treasury fight!

Antonio Weiss, the Wall Street Banker nominated for a top post in the Treasury Department, has asked President Obama not to re-nominate him.
Run Warren Run

Dear MoveOn member,

Monday night, the American public and Senator Elizabeth Warren won a major victory: Antonio Weiss, a Wall Street banker, asked President Obama not to renominate him for a ranking post at the Treasury Department.1

Weiss had previously been selected by President Obama but opposed by progressives in a bold stand led by Elizabeth Warren at the end of December. Sen. Warren and others argued that Weiss's work in international finance didn't automatically qualify him to lead domestic policy at the Treasury Department—or, in short, that his Wall Street background shouldn't give him a free pass in government.

For anyone interested in closing the revolving door between Wall Street and Washington D.C., this win is incredible news.
