Worst decision in American history?

After years of organizing, Citizens United is on the ropes. We always knew this would be a long term fight. Slowly but surely, we're winning. But it's up to us to keep pushing.
Dear MoveOn member,

Five years ago this week, the Supreme Court handed down one of the worst decisions in American history: Citizens United.

But here's the good news: After years of organizing, Citizens United is on the ropes.

Last year, 55 U.S. Senators came out for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. More than 600 cities and 16 states have gone on record in favor of amending the Constitution.1

And most important of all, 80% of Americans oppose Citizens United—even including 72 percent of Republicans!2

We always knew this would be a long-term fight. Slowly but surely, we're winning—but it's up to us to keep pushing. Can you chip in $3 to help keep up the fight?

Yes, I'll chip in to help overturn Citizens United and get big money out of politics.

To keep up the pressure to overturn this terrible decision, we joined together with a massive coalition to turn this week's anniversary into one of the biggest days of action against money in politics ever.

Our coalition has organized hundreds of protests, rallies, and teach-ins all over the country. We're all over social media. And in Washington, D.C., we delivered over 5 million petition signatures demanding a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United.

But to help keep up the fight long-term—we're asking every MoveOn member to make a special fifth anniversary donation to help overturn Citizens United. Will you chip in $3?

Yes, I'll chip in help overturn Citizens United and get big money out of politics.

Thanks for all you do.
