Clinton's lead has evaporated

Five weeks ago, Hillary Clinton was up by 8 points. Now, the race is "tied," according to The New York Times.

Dear MoveOn member,

Five weeks ago, Hillary Clinton was up by 8 points. Now, the race is "tied," according to today's The New York Times.1

And if that’s not enough to worry you, consider that during this time period, Clinton has been outspending Trump on TV ads by a margin of 10-to-1.2

This election is going down to the wire, folks. And like all close elections, it will be decided on the ground by volunteers going door to door getting out the vote.3

My friends at MoveOn were a crucial part of President Obama’s legendary get-out-the-vote successes in 2008 and 2012. And they’re hiring 100 organizers to mobilize tens of thousands of volunteers to do it again to beat Trump in 2016. Will you chip in $3 now?

Yes, I'll chip in $3 to help keep Donald Trump out of the White House.

I’m seeing a lot of people spending time and energy arguing about why the polls are getting so close. Maybe it's the media giving Trump a free pass. Maybe it’s Hillary being held to absurd double standards as a woman.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is keeping Donald Trump out of the White House—and the research has proven time and again that the best way to do that is to get out and knock on doors.4

MoveOn pioneered the neighbor-to-neighbor get-out-the-vote strategy starting way back in 2004, and they’ve been perfecting the model in every election since.

This year, MoveOn’s team of 100 organizers is recruiting volunteers to knock on more than one million doors in the most crucial battleground states that will help win this election.

In a neck-and-neck race like the one we have now, those doors could well give Clinton the margin she needs to win.

Will you chip in $3 to help fund MoveOn’s massive volunteer-to-voter get-out-the-vote campaign?

Yes, I’ll chip in now to help keep Donald Trump out of the White House.

Thanks for all you do.
