Dear MoveOn member,
Donald Trump just shattered every record on the books for small donor fundraising by a Republican, raising $100 million with "staggering speed."1 GOP fundraising operatives are calling him "the Republican Obama."2
And now—like a terrifying one-two punch—news just broke that Republican mega-donor Sheldon Adelson has pledged $45 million to Trump and down-ballot Republicans. CNN describes it as "a groundbreaking donation that could redefine the final two months of the 2016 campaign."3
With the presidential race virtually tied—and now a flood of money for Trump—we need your help more than ever.4 Will you make an emergency contribution of $2.70 right now to give us the resources to stop Trump?
Yes, I'll chip in now to help keep Donald Trump out of the White House.
This morning, data maven Nate Silver gave Trump a 44.5% chance of winning on Election Day—Trump's highest chances so far for the entire race.5
We know how to defeat Trump. It's by turning out voters in the battleground states that will decide the election. MoveOn is running a massive voter turnout program in swing states, with volunteers knocking on more than one million doors and talking directly to their neighbors about the election. In a year in which people are feeling increasingly cynical about candidates and elections, this direct personal contact—which study after study shows is the most effective way to move voters—is particularly important.6
We've built a sophisticated predictive model to pinpoint the progressive voters who are most likely to skip the polls in November—including millennials feeling alienated from the political process and other enthusiastic Bernie supporters who haven't decided whether to vote in November. As an independent, grassroots, progressive organization, MoveOn is better poised to talk to these voters than almost anyone else.
Will you chip in $2.70 now, so we have the resources to turn out voters in battleground states and keep Trump out of the White House?
Yes, I'll chip in now to help defeat Trump on Election Day.
Thanks for all you do.
–Vicki, Nick, Maria, Manny, and the rest of the team
P.S. On August 1, members of Donald Trump's transition team moved into an office building a block from the White House. There, they've been planning for his presidency, including what they're calling the First Day Project, when Trump will spend several hours on Inauguration Day signing a mountain of executive orders that "erases the Obama Presidency."7
Trump has already vowed that in his "first hour in office," he'd start to follow through on his core campaign promise to deport millions of people. He said, "Anyone who has entered the United States illegally is subject to deportation."8
If you think Trump doesn't really want to be president, or that he can't win, think again: Trump is neck-and-neck with Hillary Clinton in the polls, and his transition team is already preparing for him to be president. We must go-all out to stop this dangerous man now—while we still can. Will you help out?

P.P.S. We're still hiring for the last wave of Campaign Organizers for this voter turnout effort! Apply today for a Campaign Organizer or Deputy State Director position (or forward this to anyone you know who might be interested). These positions run from now until Election Day in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Want to support our work? Senator Elizabeth Warren says, "I'm so enthusiastic about MoveOn's smart and targeted plan to hire a network of organizers in key battleground states to mobilize and train volunteers to knock on hundreds of thousands of doors. It's bold and ambitious—and exactly what is needed to help swing Senate races, resoundingly defeat Donald Trump, and give Democrats a fighting chance to take back the House." Will you chip in to help make it all possible?
