Volunteer with MoveOn this election?

Donald Trump bullied, lied, and interrupted. Hillary Clinton presented concrete and progressive plans. The contrast was clear.

Dear MoveOn member,

If you were among the millions of Americans who watched last night’s presidential debate, you saw the stark contrast between our choices in this election.

Donald Trump bullied, lied, and interrupted. He doubled down on failed policies (like huge tax cuts for the wealthy), unconstitutional policies (like stop-and-frisk policing), and birther conspiracies. At every turn, he reminded us again why we need to defeat him in November.

Hillary Clinton presented concrete and progressive plans to reduce income inequality, address systemic racism in the criminal justice system, and invest in real diplomacy.

But in the end, it won't come down to what the candidates say on the stage. It will come down to what all of us do over the next six weeks—just 42 days.

Can you volunteer some time between now and Election Day with MoveOn's United Against Hate campaign to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton? There are tons of ways to help, from texting to phone calling to traveling to a key swing state and talking to voters in person. There's a role for you! Just click here to get started.

With just six weeks until Election Day, the polls are virtually tied. Polling expert Nate Silver estimates that if the election were held today, Donald Trump would have a 44.6% chance of winning.1 It's downright scary, and it's also why we need to get to work this weekend.

The millions of voters who began tuning in last night saw Donald Trump as unqualified, unprepared for the presidency, and a danger to the country. They saw a Hillary Clinton who was strong, composed, and tough when needed. But plenty of people didn't watch. And whether they did or not, progressive voters in key states absolutely need to hear from fellow progressives like you with a reminder to get out and vote in November.

MoveOn is hiring more than 100 organizers to mobilize tens of thousands of MoveOn volunteers to knock on more than one million doors in eight key states, and we'll be making tens of thousands of calls as well, to reach the voters who have not yet committed to showing up on Election Day. Every MoveOn member can play a role, whether you have a few minutes, a few hours, a few days, or few weeks between now and November 8.

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support our work? Consensus among mainstream media is that Hillary Clinton handily won Monday's debate—and presented a stark contrast to Donald Trump. But that doesn't matter if swing state voters don't see this sharp contrast—and then get to the polls to vote against Trump and for Clinton.

It's clear what we need to do right now. Person-to-person contact has been shown to be the most effective way of swaying voters. MoveOn members and staff are working day and night to get out the vote and keep Donald Trump out of the White House by electing Hillary Clinton. Don’t wake up the morning after Election Day wishing you had done more.
